Maryland Women Beat Duke
 

I know that a lot of us on the forum don't watch womens basketball (myself included) but come on. The Lady Terps beat DUKE on a national stage. I mean seriously, all terp fans should relish the chance to beat Duke in anything but football, when we just feel sorry for them. Its not like the mens team has given us much to cheer about lateley. Go Terps.

I'm happy about it.

Since the Terp men didn't even make the tourney :( , this helps a little, although I can't stay interested in women's games. I TRIED to watch it but I couldn't, so I switched to the Wizards game.

Also, they beat Duke. I hate Duke.

o i watched that game like it was a redskins game. It was frustrating because everything the terps did duke would just answer back. THe game was amazing overall. Can't get much better. toliver's shot with 6seconds was crazy. SHe is 5'7, mammoth bitch is 6'7. That is impossible. SO good. Oh, so good.

FUCK Duke. I am so happy we beat duke in the championship and UNC before that. I am happy to see Duke lose anyday but in a championship it is better and in a championship against the terps woooo.

The team is so damn young. Seriously if someone gave you some of the best high school players in the counry could any of us mold them into something that could compete against players have been there for years. How do you adjust from high school to college. It is a completely different level.

This now has the potential of being a dynasty. No one is leaving. Recruiting will be up. It is going to be insane. The next 3 years will be amazing and who knows what recruits we will get over the next few years

Kristi Tolliver is from where I live and let me be clear about this. She is ridiculous good. Coleman got a lot of the recognition for being a big time freshman but only because Tolliver had some injury issues early in the year. This team will be crazy good for years to come.

*ANY* Terps team beating *ANY* Dook team is cause for celebration.

IMO, Gary should be asking Tolliver to work out with the "boys" team next year. At least the women know how to stay academically eligible...

the final was a great game... it had the same intensity i've seen in any march madness game (including men's). the thing that impressed me was the clutch play of both teams- they answered each other down the stretch in regulation. i usually don't see that often in the women's game- usually a lot of bricks.

our lady terps won again. UMD wins the national championship for competitive cheer. That is 4 national championships this year, 3 by our girls
womans basketball
cheerleading
field hockey
and our boys win soccer

we still are top 5 in both mens and woman's lacrosse so hopefully we can have another this year or maybe even two more...
