Redskins Notes (ending 3/17)

-Omar Stoumire signs with the saints, leaving the skins with a hole at Safety #4.

-Ramsey traded to the jets (for draft rd6 pick 4), freeing 1.7mill in cap space.

49ers | Team visits with Evans

Jason LaCanfora, of the Washington Post, reports free agent DE Demetric Evans (Redskins) visited the San Francisco 49ers Friday, March 17, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, and has two more visits planned next week.

Evans is going to the money, hopefully he doesn't get much interest. He's the most important of our remaining UFAs to try and re-sign.

We all have our own feelings about the Ramsey trade, but I am going to miss Stoutmire. He was great on teams and very smartg, pretty effective when he was out there. I'd like to see us take a speedy, sure tackling prospect on the second draft day....

yeah, when you get into the second day, you generally don't get fast sure tacklers as much as incomplete guys. as a #4 safety though, it isn't super important that the guy is amazing though. omar wasn't a blazer, but he was pretty competent.
