Meet Christian Fauria
3rd in a series of new player profiles
Christian Fauria Position: TE Height: 6-4 Weight: 250 Born: 09/22/1971 College: Colorado NFL Experience: 11 Scouts Inc. Profile:
Fauria is a veteran player whose age is catching up with his career. He is a sub package tight end who plays in the two and three tight end sets in this offense. He has decent foot quickness and decent running ability although he is no longer the vertical threat that he once was. He works hard to get a release off the line and he has excellent hands and great focus and concentration when the ball is in the air. He has very good awareness in attacking coverages and even though he struggles to get separation versus man to man coverage his intelligence and experience allows him to be a competitor. He will make the tough catch going over the middle and he is an excellent target in the red zone. He lacks the size and strength to be a dominant blocker and he is not going to knock you off the ball however he understands blocking angles and he has the lateral movement and the foot quickness to be able to get into good position to make a play. He plays with a good base and good balance and he works hard to sustain his blocks. He has a bit of a mean streak and he doesn't back down from a challenge. He is a possession type of receiver who is still productive in the role he has been given.
Career Stats: Receiving 1995: 17 catches, 181 yards, 10.6 avg., 1 TD 1996: 18 catches, 214 yards, 11.9 avg., 1 TD 1997: 10 catches, 110 yards, 11.0 avg. 1998: 37 catches, 377 yards, 10.2 avg., 2 TD 1999: 35 catches, 376 yards, 10.7 avg. 2000: 28 catches, 237 yards, 8.5 avg., 2 TD 2001: 21 catches, 188 yards, 9.0 avg., 1 TD 2002: 27 catches, 253 yards, 9.4 avg., 7 TD 2003: 28 catches, 285 yards, 10.2 avg., 2 TD 2004: 16 catches, 195 yards, 12.2 avg., 2 TD 2005: 8 catches, 57 yards, 7.1 avg., 2 TD |

Re: Meet Christian Fauria
The Boston Globe has three questions for Christian. Unable to provide a link. I lack skills. Seems like a HOF Coach Gibbs type of guy.

backrow, all you have to do to provide a link is point your mouse to the address bar of the article you want to provide, that should make the address appear highlighted in blue, right click on your mouse and select 'copy', then come here, and in the body of your post right click again and select 'paste'. Very simple. |

Re: Meet Christian Fauria
I think he was Michael Westbrook's teammate in college, so you know he has to be good. Imagine Kordell Stewart, Michael Westbrook, Rae Carruth, and Fauria all on the same college squad and the one still in the league is Fauria
