The season played out in four distinct acts, each more bizarre than the next, before concluding in much the same way it began. The Washington Redskins were consistently surprising -- for better and worse -- and never boring during the 2005 season, but in the end they left fans with the same lingering question going into next season: Will the offense ever catch up to the defense?
