Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
I'm sure this has already been covered at some point, but with such a big game coming up it seems the obstructed view ticket has reared it's ugly head. I got screwed last night, $200 for 1 (yes, one) ticket to the cowgirls' game, only to later find out that the seat is an obstructed view. It may turn out to not be that bad, but everyone out there beware of buying tickets in the 200 sections. Call the ticket office & confirm before you buy or bid, don't end up like me. I don't know if I can do anything about it now, if anybody knows something, please post & help us out.
Just a heads up to everyone, there are people out there, especially on ebay, who will "conveniently" forget to disclose things like this (i.e. obstructed-view tickets, fake jerseys, etc.)Thanks. |
Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
As a Skins fan I just have to realize how lucky I have it. I'm local so every game is on TV and I have a brother-in-law who has season tickets and will never take any money for them.

thanks for the heads up

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
What's the face value for this ticket?

$49 face value. It's creeps like Dan Snyder putting seats like this in the stadium to begin with that allows creeps on ebay to make a $150 profit on them. Sorry if I seem bitter, but I guess it's because I am. |
Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
they had some extra tickets to the obstructed view section yesterday at the redskins box office. I called today and they have sold out. They were selling them at $49 each

Whoever sold them to you should have told you that. And possibly get a quote for a seats nearby (without obstruction). ComcastSportsnet did a report on the availability of these seats with the Redskins organization 'approval'. You can even get pics of most seats' view of the field on various sites. As a fan who doesn't make a lot of money, I would consider buying season tickets in a limited view area. Possibly, being at the game (anywhere in the stadium) is better than watching it at home? Let me know...

Regardless, this seems like a material fact. If you haven't paid for it already, and the auction did not mention the seat was obstructed view, I would just eat the negative feedback. If you have paid, demand your money back and tell the seller you are going to file a complaint with eBay within XX hours (i.e., give him a deadline). |

o no the redskins were selling some tickets direct. They had some extra and started selling them yesterday but they had such a limited amount that they sold out early yesterday. I called today to ask if they had some and didn't give them any money just a heads up seats in section 213-230 are obstructed I THINK 15 rows up and higher. I am almost positive those are the seats that are labelled obstructed |

You could easily file a complaint if he didn't say they were obstructed. Demand your money back or go straight to ebay. |

no joke - that should be the visitors' section. |
Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
then throw some tear gas in there and let them have their fun
If we put ALL the dallas fans in there we would need to get some drug sniffing dogs |
Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm speaking to the seller right now, they said they werent aware the seats were obstructed & seem fairly reasonable, so hopefully we can come up with some sort of compromise without getting more people involved. I'll keep everyone updated.

good luck!

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
Go back on eBay and leave feedback on the vendor who sold you the ticket. When you get to eBay.com follow the links COMMUNITY --> FEEDBACK FORUM --> LEAVE FEEDBACK. At that point you will need to enter the id of the vendor. Make your comment and the whole world sees it. The vendor may contact you to see if you can be satisfied in some way so that you will change your feedback (only YOU can change your feedback.)
For anyone buying on eBay, always check the vendor feedback to see what other customers say about that vendor. eBay power sellers really do work for positive feedback. Not to make you feel better or worse, there are sure to be ticket scalpers around the stadium offering tickets for whatever deals you can cut. |
Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
Yeah, tell me about it my friend. My boyfriend and I went to the Raiders game with obstructed view seats and let me tell you they blew elephant ass! If your seats are row 15 and under you are in good luck, these seats are fine. Beyond that its pretty much a watch on the tv screens. Some poor sucker had a leaky pipe over their head that constantly dripped water ( I do believe it was the sewer line). But what the hell, you're at the game of the year - so its all good. Just a little FYI, anyone driving from out of town for this game and plans on spending the night I highly recommend the Holiday Inn in Largo. This place opened up in September 2005. The rooms are great, nice hot tub in the pool room and the parking is free, just catch the shuttle bus right outside the driveway.

Re: Beware the Obstructed View Ticket
Go to the game tailgate and have fun. Sale your ticket and make money off it. Then right after game time, try to find someone selling tickets. They normally give them away almost.
