this is the happiest i've been since i became a redskins fan. 3-0. i thought we were done after the seahawks intercepted it in the fourth. i was so mad i threw a punch into my bedroom door, but we pulled it out. what a time to be a redskins fan.

Tough games ahead, which makes this win very huge. This would have sucked to cough up this game after we dominated for most of it.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really starting to appreciate Mark Brunell (except for that one throw)

As happy as I am, I don't wanna get too high cuz all of our games are heart attack games. I won't make it through the season unless we blow somebody out.

Our team did it again!!!!!!!!! 3-0 baby!

Do i see a good Brunell and Moss combo? 2 games in a row these two connected for the win!

By that one do you mean the pick? or the open receivers that he missed?

Im definitly very excited that we are 3-0. We got the wins that we should ben gettng, which is huge since our schedule gets a lot harder for a couple weeks. This are in the book now.

As long as we keep improving its huge that we have these wins. We still have a lot of work to do with gibbs playcalling.

He might have been crying because they just told him that hes getting cut and John Hall is coming back.

Im happy for the kid. I wish he got the first one off the ground as well though.

Re: We're 3-0 Thread

3-0 is very big, for a number of reasons.

One, we have two extremely tough road games comin up, and even if we drop them, if we beat SF at hom, we're at 4-2.

Two, beat an NFC playoff team.

Three, keeps building our good vibe at fed ex. Establishing the home-field edge is crucial.

Four, Gints and iggles won, and we stay a game ahead in the loss column.

Five, great for the team's confidence: things can go wrong, but we can pull it out. Confidence is a huge thing.

Six, I AM SO STOKED!!!!!! And I'm sure all skins fans are. It's been a long time since we were 3-0!

Re: We're 3-0 Thread

I think that ever game we need the offense to turn the ball over in order for us to win. It sounds strange but hear me out. Our defense could not seal the deal after we were up 17- 10, so what they needed was for the O to mess up one time, for them to feel comfortable in a state of hurriedness. Once we went into over time, the O that had been dominating all game, just finished it off. Good job Novak

It feels so strage, yet so good to say that we're 3- 0

Re: We're 3-0 Thread

The tables have turned. The close games last year that we lost by three are now the difference in our record. Most football experts say the fourth week is when a team's chemistry begins to mesh, so watch for more solid passing plays to all of our receivers and the deep pass to Moss and Patten against the three teams we play. (Chiefs, Broncos, Giants.) Hail to the Redskins, we're 3-0 and are ready for the Chiefs!

Re: We're 3-0 Thread

the positives:

1. We're winning without playing our best ball
2. We're beating the teams that we should be beating
3. Minimum of penalties - only 2 for 10 yards, if I'm not mistaken
4. If we win 1 of the next 2, we're in decent shape as far as making a run for the post-season.
5. Some bogus refree calls are actually beginning to go our way now. If you throw it deep, the calls will come.
6. Santana Moss is a character guy - mighty impressive post-game interview.
7. Brunell is getting a lot more in sync with his receivers - I think 8 different receivers caught a pass today.

the negatives:

1. Average play-calling on offense - predictable running plays, and ineffective wide receiver screens. They should've done better on the last drive and come away with a FG instead of having to punt to Seattle.

2. The Defense is certainly not as good as last year. They're certainly a good D if you consider that they held the high-octane offense of the Shehawks to less than 20 despite the loss of Smoot, Pierce, Arrington, Noble and Harris. However, they aren't getting any pressure on the passer without blitzing, and aren't creating many turnovers or generating as many sacks as last year's unit. Wynn and Daniels are highly average DEs. Hasselback had all day to throw.

3. Someone other than Betts needs to return kicks - the guy is slow, and its funny watching him labor up the field on a kick-off.

only 2 penalties today..unbelievable................it's so nice to see a disciplined team again....remember the Spurrier days when we had about 5 false starts every game......thank you Gibbs...

I think this defense is consistent with last years defense. No team has rushed for 100yds against our team in 8 games. So we are stopping the run. Let's hope Walt Harris gets back as soon as possible. The rookie had a rough time out there and they tried to pick on him in the redzone. Overall, Rodgers did a decent good. He's got to get a little more aggressive at the line.

The reason Hasselbeck had so much time is because we were trying to intercept his pass, but on several occassions he was successful in his completions. I think Williams knows it is hard to create sacks as much when he wants the turnover ratio to increase.

Re: We're 3-0 Thread

It is tough to compete against a QB that completes nearly ever single pass he throws (Hasslebeck!)
