So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
So does anyone think we will get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings? I suspect since the Redskins are public enemy #1 in the minds of ESPN we will barely break the top 16 even though we are 2-0. They will definitely put the G-men ahead of us, fine with me, just more motivation for the Skins.

Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
Yeah, I agree. I hope they continue to underrate the Redskins because all it is going to do is make them play with a bigger chip on their shoulder.
|
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
i think we will be somewhere from 15-23rd, just to be on the safe side.
|
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
i think espn will still have us in the lower rungs of their rankings... below a few 1-1 teams too, just wait.
it's better to be underestimated. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
I hope they give us none. Let us keep sneaking up on teams.
|
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
we'll move up a bit but they'll probably attribute a bunch of it to luck.
"Nice comeback win to break the streak in Dallas but don't expect two TDs in less than 4:00 every week." some crap like that. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
I think our performance for 3 quarters will hurt us, but Dallas was 9th I believe last week, so we should be mid to high teens.
In all honesty, some 1-1 teams have had to play some really good teams. Dallas is pretty good, and the bears are solid, but not teams that were seen as playoff contenders before the season (some said dallas was wildcard, but I never bought into that.) |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
Who cares about power rankings, the only rankings that count are the wins baby!

Bingo dingo! You know it baby! |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
Yes, screw the rankings, they mean nothing...this is not college football! Just win, ugly or not, just win baby!

Hear, hear! Oh, wait... I write power rankings. There isn't a smiley that properly conveys my sadness. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
I'd still be willing to bet were ranked behind the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants. I dont really care, were 2-0, put us at 32 if you want. It dosent mean anything.
|
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
I doubt the ranking will change much as the skins were dead in the water for 56 mins in this game and then make 2 big scores. Except for the last 4 mins I thought the skins O looked as bad as it ever had. Hopefully those 2 big plays are the spark that will light the fire for an offensive inferno.

Agreed.....I don't care if they rank us 32nd. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
Last week the Skins won and they fell in the rankings. Perhaps this week, with another win, they will fall even further!!
Here's to an undefeated record and #32 in the rankings :food-smil |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
we will be #20 cuz they still say we suck

The fact of the matter is we're all winners today. Doesn't it feel good? DirtBagz it takes a real true person to say what you said and I respect you for that. Now go to work, and make a sign that says, "HURRICANE SANTANA STIRKES DALLAS"! |

What really matters is what the official Warpath Power Poll™ will look like!

Consider this my annual rant of "we don't have to worry about the BCS standings in the NFL". Yes, style points count in college, but ugly wins mean more in the NFL. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
Looks Like they put the Skins 16th, the lowest 2-0 team in the NFL. They did put the Cowturds under the Skins, one spot under. What a joke.

Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
if you looked at the ESPN football home page you'd think there was no game in Dallas last night.
check page 2 for coach gamefaces. pre-tee lame |

Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
i don't care. i think it was because of our offensive ineptitude for three quarters. they aren't sure yet if this offense can be a strong supporting cast for our defense.

wow! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8869972 check that out, they have us ranked at #8, talk about some love.
"HURRICANE SANTANA STIRKES DALLAS"!
That caused a serious belly laugh, the look on the Cowpokes and their UGLY fans was beyond sweet. I still feel the euphoria from last night, even worked a 10 1/2 hour day with a big smile on my face. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
What'ya know, my only prediction related to the Redskins - Cowboys game came true. I agree with everyone else, I am not worried about ESPNS "rank" power rankings.
This is good for the team, we all know these guys check that stuff out, and it will make good bulletin board material in the locker room for the coaches. Believe me I am with everyone else, I want the Skins to come in low on the radar, teams won't know what hit'em. Like Boss Hog said on the NBC 4 broadcast here in the DC area, "You better reckon with the Redskins!" Cannot get enough quotes from Bugel. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
The ESPN rankings came out this morning. LINK
We are ranked #16. Dallas is #17 and Chicago is #21. Obviously I would like to be higher, but you can't expect much more. |
Re: So do we get any respect from the ESPN Power Rankings?
yes sir 16th is all we could ask for but i don't really care those rankings are stupid but it shows that we are getting respect, and dare i say i heard people call us a playoff team on tv?

our division also got respect as all are in the top 12. you gotta love how Philly, newyork, and us are ranked 1 2 3 in the NFC as a whole, that is really cool. our division is again considered dominant as last year they were the only division to have ONLY one team have 8 or more wins |
