2024 MLB Thread
The good: Braves treating the Phils like a bunch of thots to start the season
The bad: Yankees out the gate quick The ugly: someone kick the Mets in the nuts and let them know the season has started. Orioles playing great as well. Good to see |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
0-4 sucks but I can't get upset after 4 games, some Mets fans out there slitting their wrists already and calling for everyone's head. Ridiculous. It's the NFL equivalent of being down 3-0 after the first drive of week 1 and thinking it's over.

Like being down 7-0, and you went 3 and out while they marched down the field with precision. Mets got issues. Severino is toast. Held out hope for a while he would return to form last year. His arm is shot. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
I fucking hate sports, and I hate myself even more for being addicted to them.
6 games into the season and Strider is likely gone until sometime in 2025. And our starting catcher is out for probably a month or so too. And this coming off-season, my favorite player, Max Fried will be signed by the Dodgers. |

Mets are 10-3 since starting 0-5. Things change quick.

That offense woke up, the east gonna be another brawl this year. I mean the Nats out here doing things too. |

Strider was my guy, that stash and his delivery so powerful |

Strider was my guy, that stash and his delivery so powerful
I don't know what's going on. But he's been ass so far this season. Add Albies to the injury list. Got payback on the Astros for last year. That team is literally missing their whole rotation, with Verlander coming back tomorrow. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Nats are 14-14! LFG!
|
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Cardinals drop 2 out of 3 at home to the White Sox. White Sox had only won 1 road game prior to the start of this series. Seriously got to wonder when changes will be coming to St Louis.

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Braves offense hitting collectively, like a bunch of little bitches.
Baseball is absolutely the most frustrating sport. |

Him and Betts are an incredible 1-2 punch, and Freeman hasn't even really gotten going yet for his standards. Philly and Atlanta may be fighting for the NL East all year. |

Still inconsistent but some of their young guys have been a pleasant surprise this year. Ya love to see it. |

J.D. Martinez can suck ALL OF THE COCKS IN HELL!
Punch, I hope you see this one. This post is for you. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Believe me I'd rather have won 2 out of 3 but...
NIMMO! |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Believe me I'd rather have won 2 out of 3 but...
NIMMO!
The 9th inning was a bitch back-to-back games (2 different reasons, both still extremely frustrating). Last game Minter had to pitch in the 9th, he fucked that game up too. Nothing like watching 8.5 innings of baseball just to blow it in the bottom of 9th. |

Fucking Diaz man, 2nd blown save, he's clearly not back to 100% yet

Hello, darkness, my old friend. Best pitcher and everyday player both out for the season before the all-star break. Can't wait to see how we get fucked next. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Pretty good article with some good FAQs about todays big news

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Well 2023 was fun while it lasted. Yankees putting their foot down this year. Maybe O’s can get in through the wild card
|
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Red Sox fan here and I watch every game. It amazes me how poor outfield arms are today. Aaron Judge is the only outfielder I've seen in weeks, perhaps months, whose throw home was actually at the plate. Sox have a fast team for once and they routinely send runners that should be held. They most often score because the throw is nearly always off target.
Anyone else notice this? |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
I'm getting to the point where I don't even like my favorite team. That lost tonight was one of the biggest bitch-ass losses I've ever seen. Back-to-back bunts in the 10th. Fucking pussies. And now it's bunt-gate where we're trying to figure out of Snitker called the squeeze or if somehow Kelenic/Laureano orchestrated it themselves. Also, Laureano should never be allowed on a baseball field again based on the bottom of the 10th. That motherfucker ran 5 feet past a lazy fly-ball. Never seen that before in the big leagues.

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
To be fair that part of the outfield at Citi Field can be tricky, the wind can push balls back from foul to fair and vice versa
|
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Great comeback by the Yankees tonight. Love these 2nd half season games v. Boston. Looking forward to the national Sunday night game. AL East going to be a fight the rest of the year.

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Of course somehow Mets win the Wheeler vs. Megill game. The Phillies fuck the Braves yet again. We basically have to sweep the Mets this coming series. I have little faith in that happenings. We have struggled to win 3 games in a row against any team.

I feel you the Orioles have one 4 series since the all star break and haven't lost their last 5 series. It has been a downward spiral since they were 24 games over .500 on June 20th. They will win 1 game then drop the next two. I guess I should look at the bright side if they do that they won't get swept out of the playoffs at least and if they hold on I could watch them choke in the playoffs at Camden Yards again. |

One day, we're going to go to an Orioles game together. I'd like to visit Baltimore and I've heard nothing but good things about Camden Yards. Note - I know what you meant, but lol at they haven't lost their last 5 straight series. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Hahaha definitely a slip there. They shockingly won two games in a row after winning last night although they tried their best to lose. They were winning 9-3 going into the 9th and only won 9-7.
Camden is fun and the vibe around the stadium is cool. I want to check out PNC in Pittsburgh |

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Double header today and then fly to other coast or the northern border for playoffs tomorrow. Ain't that some shit

Such BS. 160 games comes down to a double header on the eve of the playoffs? This was totally botched by MLB. |
Re: 2024 MLB Thread
Weird day to be a Diamondbacks fan. They are going to love whoever wins Game 1, unless they lose game 2, then they'll hate that team. Gotta have a sweep to get in.

Looking forward to the playoffs starting today. Hoping for a Yankees-Dodgers World Series! Would be awesome.

Re: 2024 MLB Thread
At least it won't be the Phillies that eliminate the Braves from the post-season this year.
