Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
We'll start off with this:
https://twitter.com/JPFinlayNBCS/status/1729180391003820160 Most explosive offense meets defense that gives up the most explosive touchdowns lol. How about some positives? At least Sam Howell is taking less sacks now. And maybe with JDR and dingleberry secondary coach gone maybe we'll be slightly better. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Sacked 4 times last week. Guess that is better than 6. We are going to get absolutely steam rolled and i dont give a half a fuck. This game probably won’t be on so I won’t be tempted to tune in. I honestly can’t see Chief Arms Folded on our sideline ever again. 9-1/2 months until the season starts!
|
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
If we hold them to less than 40, I'd be surprised, less than 30 and I'll be stunned. I don't see any possible way to victory here for us, which is actually a good thing. Natural tank!

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
I have a morbid curiosity about this game.
I kinda hope they break the scoring record. |

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Sadly, I think it will be Dolphins by 30+ points

Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Dolphins commit a real live in living color homicide 41-16 - Slye misses another PAT. Stadium is 65% fins fans (I didn’t even know we had those here). Rivera doesn’t call a better defensive showing than JDR, makes no adjustments after half and poops his pants in the second half. Arrives at the presser and says “we’ll look at the tape but Sam did some good things out there”. Continues to repeat that he’s not worried about his job. JP asks “sources say you may be released at the end of the season, does that put any additional pressure on you as the season continues?” Rivera exits stage right without answering.

I think we win … 33-31
By the way I tried to tell y’all last week bet the farm on Dallas … we win this game . |

Losing is good long-term. Losing by a lot is good short-term. If we're getting pounded, you can turn it off early and enjoy the day. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Sam will play well but we have no chance stopping this offense. Ron calling plays or not we are slow as Fuck

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Well our defence has gone from stegosaurus to brontosaurus so I have low expectations.
:Flush: |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Miami might hit 70 again against this dog-shit defense
|
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Howell will toss 3 picks and 2 TDs......EB once again won't balance out the pass and the run
|
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Score? Don't know, but unless RR has worked a miracle this week, Tyreek will make our secondary reek. 200+ yards possibly?

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
this game i believe will be featured in next weeks episode of in season hard knocks

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
The Dolphins are the Cowboys of the AFC - Have 8 wins, but only one against a team with a winning record - the suddenly resurgent Broncos.
Their wins = Patriots x 2, Chargers, Giants, Panthers, Raiders, Jets... RR's squad probably wins. I don't know how or why, but since everyone wants them to lose, they'll probably win. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Only game left I am watching is the Jets game. It is the only game that has potential to bump us down in the draft.

Completely didn’t make that obvious connection when I read Chiefs post. Actually thought that it had some truth to it and there was a chance. But Miami has a better offense so it will probably be 55-20. |

Well the data is true, but honestly there's probably not much of a chance they win. I just think it would be 'so this team' to win a game like this...one they aren't supposed to win - after losing many that they probably should have won. |

Maybe they aren’t Super Bowl ready but they are legit whopping teams asses. We are 1-2 against the 3 worst teams in the nfl. |

I can't tell if you're trolling here as there's no conceivable way we hold Miami to 24 points, unless a wall at FedEx collapses and takes out all of their skill players. (Actually, that could happen.) |

I'd love to see us knock that diva into the following week. Can't stand him. |

That would be us, so we're probably about to be toasted. Remember what's at stake here: For us, losing could mean winning a better draft position and an easier schedule in 2024. Fear not, for I'm confident that we can lose this or any other game. Just Tank, Baby! |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
IDK How folks listen to JP Finlay, he is the most negative guy when it comes to anything Washington

I don't think he's the most negative, it is that any reporter out there, who is also a fan of the team, is going to have a very negative attitude right now given how things are going. If you want objective reporting on this team, read/listen to the work of John Keim and Nicki Jhabvala. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
I don’t blame anyone for being negative when it comes to this team. Positive moments have been few and far between here for the last 25 years. I don’t find JP to be unreasonable at all.

Then either he will or he won't. Nothing that happens over the next several weekends will change that. |

Let's lose to get a better pick when that pick has a 50% chance or less of making it in the NFL. |

Agreed. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
3rd that, rather see the team show heart, compete and try to win. The draft will go how the draft goes regardless. Hope we get great players at areas of needs. Tough drafting for need but, we need to.
Good luck squad, hope they beat Miami. Fuck the phins |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
rather win than tank, even if the games don't matter.

Because the higher the pick the more it is worth in trade. So trade the higher pick to get more picks (chances) to hit on 50/50 picks, if that suits your point of view. I see it a bit differently: The better GM's make more good picks than the other GM's, so they must be hitting at a higher rate than the average rate of 50% for all GM's. Conversely, most of the others must be hitting on picks at a rate less than 50% for the average rate of all GM's to be 50%. So, the answer might be to hire a better GM and give him more picks to work with at, let's assume, a 70% hit rate. That's what Josh Harris seems to be trying to do. Of course, we're both talking at a 30,000 feet level because, as you and i know, drafting a player is much more complex than our basic points of view. |

Me too. I was just joking around about tanking. |
Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
The last two players we have picked in the top 5 were RG3 and Chase. Actually both were picked 2nd overall. RG flamed out after one year, he could never get good enough throwing from the pocket. Chase never lived up to the hype. He never became the dominant rusher that we needed. His motor was not that of guys like Crosby or TJ Watt or Garrett.
Speaking of Crosby, where was he picked? 4th round out of a small school. Hmmm.. |
