Trevor or the Division?
Would you rather we wind up with the first pick and Trevor or win the East with possibly 6-7 wins and get rolled in the first round with Haskins not really getting any better.
Obviously other things could happen, we could wind up without the first pick. Haskins could progress enough to roll with him going forward, etc. But if it boiled down to those two options- a meaningless division title with Haskins still not looking like the guy and getting rolled in the first round or getting Trevor what would you choose? Im taking Trevor. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Trevor or other QBs. There's no point in trying to win NFC east when we all already know who will win in the first round of playoffs.
Edit: I'm not giving up on Haskins yet, but at the current rate Haskins and offense are going, that's my answer to your question at this time. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
We're not winning this division no matter who's playing QB.
We're not winning this division no matter who's playing QB.
Answer the question. Lol Honestly until yesterday it seemed Dallas was the clear cut favorite but now it seems like an actual possibility we could... |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Man that week 1 win really threw off expectations huh?
|
Trevor or the Division?
After seeing the rest of the division play for a month winning the division is not far fetched. That any team from the east can make noise in the playoffs is ridiculous still.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
I would just ask what's the point of making the playoffs with this team? I don't care who's playing QB we still have too many holes.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Do people really think Kyle Allen is going to come in and turn things around all by himself lol
We still have no weapons outside of McLaurin and maybe Gibson on offense. Other than the front 4 on D we have a bunch of jags. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
So true it isn’t even the front 7. Its the front 4. The middle of our defense and the corners are terrible. Just curious if anyone out there would go with the division win instead of the future. Id rather just rip the damn bandaid off quickly. Lol

Re: Trevor or the Division?
Too early

Re: Trevor or the Division?
Trevor is a can't miss prospect, of course you take him

Nah. This division is and will be thee worst in the league and Trevor is going number one. We are on a collision course with a possible first round pick or possibly the most meaningless division title ever. I know you would take Trevor over the meaningless crowd. You have chosen. Lol |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
So much football to go. Last year at this time Miami seemed like a lock for #1. Chill and enjoy the ride.

We win this pathetic division and make the playoffs at 6-10. Alex Smith comes in for the playoffs and we make the Super Bowl with a 6-10 team. :D |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Punch is just asking the question we all are thinking...would you mind suffering through losing out basically, like last season all over again, if it meant we thought we'd have a long term answer at QB...and I would. However...there will be good to great free agent QBs available this offseason...such as Matt Ryan or maybe even Aaron Rodgers. Yes too early to start thinking about all this really...but I get it Punch...watching Haskins right now gives little to no hope of winning going forward.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
If those are my only 2 options, Trevor.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Hopping on the "what a stupid fucking question" bandwagon.
Would you rather be terrible the entire season so you can draft what you think is a "generational" talent #1 or would you rather bench Haskins so Kyle fucking Allen can come in and lead this squad to getting-bounced-in-the-wildcard glory? |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
I don't think WFT will get the number 1 pick regardless of their record. Right now, there are 5 teams with 1 win and 2 with 0 wins. Granted we are only 4 games into the season but there are far worse teams than Washington. I think the WFT will draft 4th or 5th. Trevor will not be available.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Unfortunately I dont think we win the division or get pick number 1. I think we will have pick 3, 4, or 5. That being said....if it was 1 or the other, I would take the qb. I have 0 confidence that haskins will pan out. Rest of picks should be ol and secondary.
|
Re: Trevor or the Division?
The division don’t mean shit, Ask me SuperBowl or Trevor lol
I would vote Superbowl! If somehow we end up with Trevor Lawrence it won’t matter anyway because he’ll just get hurt |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
I would rather lose out and get number one pick ... I mean even coach RR is playing this like pre season ... going for it on 4th and forever instead of FG .. just to see how DH would handle it ... that’s stuff you do in pre season .. when it’s all said and done Dallas wins division at 8-8 , eagles 6-10 , Giants 4-12 , wft 3 -13 ... I just hope we don’t win a meaningless game late and screw up the pick ... if Haskins continues to start we are tanking..

Giants won’t win 4 games |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Maybe you are right .. I got them beating philly once , the bengals , and us twice .. I said earlier I hope we don’t screw this up and win a meaningless game and out of the Trevor sweepstakes 😀... at some point we need to find the answer at QB .. I was hoping DH was the answer but It’s not looking good .. this team is truly cursed

Yeah I can't believe Ron didn't do that in preseason either, what was he thinking? |

I dont think he forgot there was no preseason. Lol. I think he meant whether or not there was one you don’t do that shit in the regular season. I agree. |

This would be ideal. Trevor at 1, than Oline n secondary. Deep o line draft too. |

Hopefully we hit the ol and secondary hard in this draft. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Screw Trevor Lawrence. With Scary Terry I want Rex "fuck it I'm going deep" Grossman
|

Don't forget the free agency. Smith and the team should go BPA all the way in the draft next year - we need more talents in almost every position except for Dline and maybe RBs. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
this team ain't winning the division so no need to discuss.

Unique times call for unique measures. It wasn't just Haskins that didn't get preseason, everyone on the roster didn't get preseason. Ron probably made a plan that he was going to use these early season games to evaluate the roster. I don't fault him for that. |

Nope and anyone on here that says no to Trevor is crazy |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
I usually have a hard on for the chance to draft a top 10 franchise QB .. but I need to hear and see more about Trevor Lawrence.
Clemson seems to play out of the shotgun and not a pro style offense. Lawrence has some of the best wideout playmakers in college ball. Is Lawrence reading defenses and going through progressions .. or is he sitting back and throwing to his open primary/1st read? Is he playing from under center and needing to drop back/plant/throw or is he in college style shotgun with a spread offense with elite talent and just catching shotgun hikes and tossing it to the open guy? |

Can Trevor swing his hair like Fabio? |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
I don't know a lot about Trevor. Seen him play a few times, but I don't really follow Clemson. I'm not sure this team will be in a position to draft him anyway, so I'm not sure it matters much. There are 12 other teams with the same or worse record at this point. I don't see this team having the worst record - the number 1 draft pick - when this season is all said and done.
Wouldn't it be funny though, if the WFT went hard after Dak Prescott in the offseason. A big F U to Jerry... I think it would be great. Not likely, but it could be done. He's going to be the highest paid QB when he gets his contract, it's just a matter of who is going to pony up the $$$. |
Re: Trevor or the Division?
Hopefully we hit the ol and secondary hard in this draft.
Without a doubt the two most glaring weaknesses. Obviously behind QB. If they are gonna sway from that mlb would be acceptable. I would take a big difference maker in the middle. |

Yeah I would buy that except week one was like all in to win. I do not fault him for evaluating. But you can evaluate without throwing in the towel right? |
If we lost week 1 would this even be a discussion?
No way lol. It is hard to go 0-16 though. Very hard. We play the Eagles again and clearly can lose. We got two against the Giants. The Jets are the only team that I see as having a chance to finish without a win. But like I said that is hard to do. Of all the other 0,and 1 win teams not all of them need a quarterback. I think winning the division is way more far fetched than winding up with the first pick. Our schedule is brutal. We lost to the Giants in the Chase Young bowl last year and we can do it again in the Trevor bowl! |
