Food Vices
What food(s) are you the most addicted to and/or have a hard time resisting? Or just favorite meal in general.
Mine is tortilla chips. I can eat my body weight in chips and salsa or nachos. |
Re: Food Vices
Cheese and peanut butter are probably my two biggest weaknesses.
Hard to beat some good chips and salsa. Add guacamole and a good margarita and I'm a happy guy. |
Re: Food Vices
In the quarantine...I’ve become addicted to Bubbly carbonated/sparkling water
Nachos, salsa...tacos...Mexican in general. Greek food is my favorite tho... I smoke ribs once....maybe twice a year (st Louis style pork ribs Full racks) for the sole reason they are terrible for you. I finish them with brown sugar and butter. I think about them often....I miss them when they are gone. |

Re: Food Vices
Yeah definitely bacon.
And I'll add freshly baked bread, still warm with butter |
Re: Food Vices
Utz Crab Potato Chips
Doritos |
Re: Food Vices
^ I grew up within walking distance of the Utz plant, passed it on the school bus going to elementary school...smelled amazing. Crab Chips are my favorite flavor!
Me? I put hot sauce on EVERYTHING. All different flavors of hot sauce, some really hot, some just for good flavor. I never eat ketchup without mixing Sriracha into it either. Favorite meal is lasagna. Wife makes me (amazing) lasagna for my birthday every year, along with Father's Day and usually around other holidays like Christmas and Valentine's Day. I've even had an Easter lasagna before. :D |
Dogs love cheese and peanut butter too. Mine likes: (these are cheese AND PB flavored, not separate varieties) |
Re: Food Vices
The combination of peanut butter and chocolate...especially in ice cream
|
Re: Food Vices
Wings for me. I have an air fryer and about 10 different hot sauces. Me and my kid make a new recipe every week.
Smoothies in my ninja bullet. Sweetgreens salads. |

I don't even eat it the rest of the year and just wait for the traditional night to have it. |
Re: Food Vices
Sounds like peanut butter and bacon are universal.
|
Re: Food Vices
I'm trying to wean off bacon. Now I buy the individual slices from the butcher to keep my supply down and get pee tested every friday.
|
Re: Food Vices
Yeah I'm a hot sauce guy too.

Re: Food Vices
Flaming Hot Cheetos
I can't even buy those because if I have 1, I'm eating the whole bag. I don't even like regular cheetos. But the hot ones are amazing. I'm surprised I don't have ulcers. |

Tijuana style street tacos.
Tacos El Gordo Best drunk meal ever. |

Getting older is weird. Foods you use to be able to eat can mess you up. I don't really drink soda anymore because it gives me heartburn sometimes. Down to basically just water and unsweetened ice tea. |
Re: Food Vices
I was never one to get heartburn either, but yeah getting older shit changes. Now I have a bottle of antacids in the cupboard at all times.

Re: Food Vices
There's a brand of tortilla chips called Paqui. They have Ghost Pepper chips that are pretty damn hot, and they also have a special release once a year made from carolina reaper peppers. You can look up people doing the reaper chip challenge on YouTube.

Re: Food Vices

Fuck hot sauce |

Yeah those are hot. The flavor is a bit different. I prefer the standard hot ones due to tasting better. |

Fuck hot sauce
How is it enjoyable to eat bland foods? Things like macaroni or alfredo are so unenjoyable without hot sauce. There are more on this list. |
Re: Food Vices
Pizza stones and making homemade pizzas.
Highly recommend. The pizzas you can make at home are so much better and you can get as gourmet or as simple as you want. I havent fully mastered using fresh dough you have to roll out but im getting there. I keep some of the premade doughs and flatbreads around just in case. |

Re: Food Vices
Couple things
First, I don’t eat a lot of fast food...but there is nothing better than a morning menu chick fila chicken biscuit. It’s a hall of fame food item. Just delicious I was in Asheville recently and I had poutine as an appetizer. I have never tasted fries this amazing. Salty, thin hand cut fries...brown gravy with cuts of sirloin. Topped with deep fried cheese curls...after a brewery this was the greatest thing ever. |

Also CFA breakfast chicken burrito >>> chicken biscuit. Dip that joint in CFA sauce = crack. |
Re: Food Vices
I literally do not understand the obsession with Chick Fil A. They could all disappear tomorrow and I be like oh well.
People its just chicken patties. |

People its just chicken patties.
In the part of San Diego I live in, we have an In-N-Out Burger and Chick-Fil-A. Both have huge lines every minute of the day they are open. Waiting in your car 30 minutes for a sandwich is crazy to me. I don't get the obsession with either of these places. |

Re: Food Vices
Jack-in-the-Box has a really good spicy chicken sandwich. And still have 2 tacos for $0.99.
