2014 NFL Schedule

I know its coming out later today, but on twitter hearing Skins are getting a fair share of primetime games again.

I kinda dont like that cause we always lose, but the networks like the Skins.

Hearing strong first time CBS schedule and the league really pushed for more competitive games on Thursday night.

Im calling Skins vs Eagles first week MNF.

Re: 2014 NFL Schedule

Can't wait to see analysts predict wins and losses once the schedule is released. Even more of a pointless exercise than mock drafts.

Lol @ like the skins... U mean liking having us on so if we lose they can trash us, and if we win, they can trash the other team, and, essentially us hahaha.. Hatters gon hatt

I usually don't get to hyped over this, I mean it's kinda cool but i dont see the point in the networks making a huge deal of it.. Anyways yes I'm sure we will play at philly on primetime.

Can't wait to see the overnight ratings because the schedule special will probably get better ratings than all of the NHL playoff games and all the NBA games except for the Heat. The NFL is a beast.

Since some of us are convinced that we are playing the Colts in the preseason :(, a schedule show might be a good idea.

Today is a big deal for me. The Skins play at SF and AZ which are relatively close to me.
I am hoping to attend at least one of those games.

Nice there playing in S.F. the day after my B-Day. I know what the wife and I are doing for my B-Day weekend! This will be the 4th time I've seen them play there and probably my last trip up to Candle Stick Park. I think there tearing that old place down pretty soon.

My fiancee is a Niners fan, how about we meet in the parking lot and tailgate?

I'll stay longer this time, honest!

Even though building a new stadium is usually a drain on cities, especially in this economy, it will be nice to see the 49ers playing in the new stadium. Though to be fair Candlestick Park seemed to be near the end of its rope.

Right now the new Falcons stadium is kind of a touchy issue in Atlanta especially since its replacing the Georgia Dome which critics say was hastily built in 1992 because there was a rush to build a domed stadium with minimal thought given to aesthetics. Granted the new stadiums concept art really looks incredible but the city isn't nearly as wealthy as it was in the late 90's coming off the olympics and benefitting from a mass influx of wealthy new residents.

You were lit and my friend Rae-Rae was nervous as a choir girl at a WP meetup. He 'didn't want any trouble'. Why'd he go with me?

We'll do it right this time, my fiancee is a hellraiser.

No sympathy for the devil (or the cowboys in this case ) but their end schedule just begs for a 1-3 or worse December.

Re: 2014 NFL Schedule

There was a time back in the early 2000's where I craved anything football in the offseason, nearly to the point of madness. Back in the offseason dark ages message boards were still in their infancy and channels like NFL Network were only available on tier 39,484 of satellite packages. Also internet in spite of getting better still wasn't exactly lightning fast.

There was actually a point where anytime ESPN Classic would air a classic college football game I would rush to get a tape to record it. Didn't matter if it had my first birthday, steps, hair cut, parents wedding, etc. I NEEDED to see football. Okay so really I only taped over old wrasslin shows and my Mom's soap operas but the point remains that I was, and still am, an offseason junkie.

Heck I use to at least have the TV on for every XFL game in 2001. When Tommy Maddox came back into the league to play for the Steelers, I didn't know him as the former Broncos first round pick. I knew him as the QB for the LA Extreme that led his team to victory over the San Francisco Demons in the Million Dollar Game. When Rod Smart came back in the league, sure everyone knew about the "He Hate Me" moniker but I knew him as "He Hate Me" running back for the Las Vegas Outlaws.

The NFL schedule release show is probably the first time I've looked at offseason and said, okay thats probably a little too much. Which is basically the equivalent of offering a crack fiend a rock at the start of a bender and having him say 'nah man I'm good.'

I find it funny some fans are calling for a 11-5, 12-4, and 13-3 season.....lol

Not going to happen. As of right now, I have absolutely no faith in Jim Haslett's ability to coach a defense. At worst, we'll probably be 6-10 with a 8-8 if things better than expected.
