Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
Well done. As previously mentioned, he already has Banks beat, and I think he has more size too.
|
Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
Really cool, and different experience for that kid. A lot of times they just meet an athlete, but this seems really well done. I'll be looking forward to watching it on the four letter.

Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)

Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
Lots of roster moves today. Among them Stallworth and Devery Henderson are officially Redskins. And Worthington's season is done

It sounds like Robinson has been getting a lot of work but, perhaps he hasn't sold himself completely to coaches just yet. It's still early though.

Nice!!! Great rotation guy and given Garcon's propensity/career history to miss time and/or just not produce consistently having Henderson could mean an extra win or two during the season. We're sort of like the Saints at their top, no clear #1 WR but a very nice group of solid guys at WR. |

Or we're just signing Henderson as a camp body. |

Yeah this move doesn't really excite me much either. |

I don't know what you are talking abiut, he's got speed, experience ... he could be the next Jabar Gaffney. |
Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
I've advocated to sign Henderson in the past, and his skill set gives Aldrick Robinson legit competition for his spot, but he's about five years past the point where his signing is worth getting excited about. In 2008 or 2009, this would be an impactful signing.
I don't think Stallworth is toast or anything, and we can clearly use the receiver depth, but I didn't think he brought that much to the table in 2011...and that was two years ago. |

I can see Stallworth and Henderson battling it out for the #6 WR, but their impact won't be significant. |

Wow Goodell steps up for the Redskins:

Good signing. Need help at the WR and Henderson may be ready to bust out. Shanahan is making some nice moves. Excited about this team. If Garcon can stay healthy and our new tight end is for real we could be loaded for bear. Cows too. Most excellent. |

Skins don't need help at the WR position. These two guys have been brought in to get familiar with the offense and be on standby (as FAs because they won't make the cut) if a guy or two goes down. |
Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
Henderson I could see making the team, Stallworth? Not so much.
Garcon Morgan Hankerson Robinson Moss Henderson Not the depth chart order just naming them. But I could easily see Henderson making the team. |

Since 2009 Henderson has not had more than 35 catches, 500 yards, or 2 TD's in a single year. What about those numbers indicates "ready to bust out" rather than "ready to guard the gatorade"? |
Re: Redskins "Sign" Running Back (Redskins News and Notes Version 5.0)
Not hating on the guy but I think this take below is pretty reasonable
@Rich_TandlerCSN 14h I'd tap the brakes on Henderson enthusiasm. Started 10 games and had only 22 rec on a team that threw almost 700 times. |

Much rather see an undrafted WR step up and take a spot than either Henderson or Donte

I would agree with that. Unless Henderson or Stallworth is really good, I doubt they'll be on the roster for opening day. I bet they give the UDFAs an early advantage simply for being much younger and having more potential. |

Well since he hasn't yet, now would be a good time to do just that. If he had already then I couldn't say ready to bust out. I don't think he was hired to guard the gatorade. Seriously? I actually said he may be ready to bust out. Why are you replying in that chitty way? Trying to get something started? I'm game. |

But i am not an Indian and their take is what is the meaningful take. But I know for a fact that when I say I love the REDSKINS I don't think about hating on Indians or have any less respect for them. Neither does anyone else i'm guessing. I think that matters as well. |
