Anybody got or find a list of the best free agents still on the market?

Aging and asking for too much money.

Barber had an incredible career. 16 seasons with the same team.

You must also be shocked that Vinny Cerrato is no longer a GM/VP in the NFL.

I don't think Charles woodson( NFL MVP and HOF) IS COMPARABLE To VC but ok.

As am I, IDK much about his price tag and he is long in the tooth but you would think a veteran DB with his resume would be a good fit somewhere. Heisman winner in 1997, geesh that seems forever ago!

Re: NFL News Offseason Style

Old veteran free agents are pretty low on the totem pole this time of year. Woodson will probably get some calls once training camp rolls around. Until then, no rush.

Of course not. Vinny Cerrato is the only guy dumb enough to sign any of these over-priced, over-the-hill players. You can however compare Woodson, Barber, and Urlacher to Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders,...

I don't mind the Bleacher Report. They put the Redskins in a fair spot, at 6. But those stupid overrated Cowboys! With Witten and Austin both getting a year slower, and without any running game to speak of, they still put them in the top 10! :vomit:

I'm suprised he is still availalbe, but for the right price I think he would be a good fit. Not to start, but as a Mentor for our young secondary guys. I love D Hall, but that's not exactly who I would chose for the "mentor" role. I wouldn't mind signing him if he understood it wasn't for a starting position, we could afford it, and the price tag was extremely low.

Apparently his age is factoring in him not being signed up until this point. It could also be teams are offering him nothing more than the veteran minimum and you know a great like Woodson won't sign for that. Then you have to take into consideration also that teams want to develop their own young players. Woodson probably simply doesn't fit in with anyone's plans at least for right now.

yeah, i mean, we just drafted 3 dbs and signed 1 (plus we have everyone but MW returning, meriweather healthy and jackson possibly able to play), so where does he go if we only keep 9 players? I assume he doesn't play special teams, and i don't think he'd be happy taking the vet min to be a #4 CB or #3 safety or whatever.

So much promise gone in a flash of ignorance, ego, superiority complex, and mental issues. I hope this kid gets some help just so he isn't a menace to society anymore.

Maybe jail will do him some good.

On another note, the article about the arrest on the WaPo website has the first comment in the comment section as a fan who thinks we should bring him in because he would fit right in? I do not think whoever that was really pays attention to the team.... Our guys like to party... not robbin' and stealin'

I believe he has a psychological problem. He probably needs meds. Seems like he has some sort of chemical imbalance. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Shocker.

I can't believe his 2 failed stints here and in Minnesota didn't leave him wanting to be a Skin or Viking for life.

Now he has to go crawling back to the Philly faithful who I'm sure love him more than ever now. lol

Chuck was one of my favorite all time RB's, if he would have stayed clean he could have been one of the greatest RB's ever. When you think of the Chargers of the late 70's early 80's Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joyner and Chuck Muncie come to mind in addition to the architects Air Coryell and Joe Gibbs.
