Skins/Panthers post game
Talk about that pos here
|
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
I can guarantee you all that we are not going to the playoffs.
Bets?? |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Not much to say. We came out and sleep walked through a game vs a 1 win team. Gonna be a long, loud couple of weeks around these parts.
|
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
These games happen, but players need to be worried about their jobs next week, IMO. Looked like the WRs gave up on several plays. Riley sucked. For starters.
|
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
who cares at this point. another double digit loss team, same ole bullshit excuses.
|
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
I guess my only question/point is "Did we get out coached or did our players get beat to badly? Aka is this one on our players or our coaches?"
Also what the hell is up with Kerrigan. Dude is getting single blocked by Byron Bell and not getting pressure.... ....I hope that what SS said about us thinking about trading Orakpo doesn't happen, because we clearly need him. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
I am a huge defender of Shanahan, but I can't believe in his presser that he said that he's pretty much given up and it's not just evaluating players for next year. I can't believe he would come out and say that with so many games left to play.
All the players were a helluva lot more positive after the game than he was. |
I don't care anymore, look at Indy, Miami, TB, Oakland. All teams that were projected worse than us are all better smh. It's sad when even rg3 can't get us fans happy. I don't want to beat a dead horse but it's time to start "evaluating coaching candidates " for next year much less evaluate players. Wtf is that Mike? So your already throwing in the towel? Man that's some sad shit right there

As does the entire D. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
MS was a supporter of Suck For Luck last year, he just didn't publicly say it. Him playing Grossman and Beck is proof enough haha.

But the rest of our schedule looks pretty brutal. Not even the Eagles and Browns are gimmes for us, considering we lost to a 1-6 team today. edit: Thanks for the insight you guys provide, and opportunity to vent here. 'Nite everybody. |

It sucks I was so happy to hire MS and now three years later we still suck and other than RG3 we literally have nothing to look forward to |

Franchise QB is a huge piece of the puzzle. The fact that way have that taken care of is a pretty big deal. |

No doubt it Is but damn where else is the talent? Morris is solid |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
On another note its time to try a different kick returner. Banks isnt getting it done

Yeah but we only took care of it cause we sucked so bad under Shanahans direction. He fooked up on Mcnabb, staked his reputation on Grossman and Beck, blew up the defense and made it the laughingstock of the league. I cant believe we lost this game. The 4th down call with no passing option was a horrible call.I heard on skins radio after the game Shanahan saying time to start evaluating players, like he's given up on the season.I know hes gonna try to win games, but I dont want my head coach coming out and saying publicly its time to start evaluating players like the seasons lost The lack of discipline on this team is horrendous, worst in the league.Theres so many things wrong with this team its depressing. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Back to back brutal games. Terrible way to go into the break.
|
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
All i got is that right now changes need to be done going into the bye week. One of them is getting rid of Haslett, every week is the same shit (actually worse) he doesn't inspire any confidence.

Does it really matter how or why, fact is we have RG3 who is a legit franchise QB. No need to apologize for it or make excuses. How bad would it be if we didn't have him to build around going forward? |

Mike Shanahan: Rest of this season to “evaluate players” Posted by Darin Gantt on November 4, 2012, 4:57 PM EST Getty Images Given that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan called it a “must-win,” earlier in the week, the fact his team lost to the Panthers will cause much consternation over a long bye week. It will also bring an eye toward 2013 and beyond. Shanahan admitted in his post-game press conference that the Redskins’ goals are in the future, not this season. “Now you’re playing to see who obviously is going to be on your football team for years to come,” Shanahan said, via the Washington Post. “Now we get a chance to evaluate players and see where we’re at. “Obviously, we’re not out of it statistically, but now we find out what type of character we’ve got and how guys keep on fighting through the rest of the season.” Of course, it might also be time to evaluate the coaching too. Shanahan’s a disappointing 14-27 in his third year in charge, a .341 winning percentage that’s lower than the ridiculous Jim Zorn and Steve Spurrier eras (both 12-20, .375). The fact they just drafted a franchise quarterback probably means Shanahan will have time to continue to work with Robert Griffin III, and his track record indicates that he probably should. But he works for Daniel Snyder, who hasn’t demonstrated himself to be dedicated to planning for the future. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
He did not stake his reputation on Grossman/Beck. Pay attention to his actions, not his words. They were stop gaps.

Pay attention to his actions I said. Trading Doug Dutch for Beck is not staking your reputation.

Agreed there but saying you're staking you're rep and basically dumping a season into the crapper will never endear me to old leather face. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Not a good day at the office for RG3. Some poorly thrown balls and there were guys open downfield on a few plays, but he opted for dump offs. It's a passing league and throwing for 200 yards ain't gonna cut it.

read your post wrong, nevermind I dont wanna argue with you If you think he's a great coach were just never going to agree on that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
Can we cut this ****ing clown already? I knew ARE was still in the league.
Grant Paulsen @granthpaulsen Brandon Banks had two punt returns for -4 yards today. #Redskins |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
We got 16 healthy games of Kerrigan and Orakpo last year, and all anyone mentioned was how unlucky we got with OL injuries.

But seriously, lets focus on the moves they need to make to reach the level of a consistent playoff contender. |
Re: Skins/Panthers post game
I'm not behind cutting Shanahan but he's not really helping his own cause here. We continue a losing skid and I think he's jobless next year.

I would still say we need to see more from RG3. Granted he's a rookie but he didn't play well today. He threw late, behind and high today. Meanwhile Luck is throwing for 400+ yards to wr's that I've never heard of against a good defesne. I'd like to see Kyle tone down the option stuff and really open things up. |

Thing is RG3 is most effective with the option/play action stuff. As a pure drop back passer he still has work to do. |
