2012 NBA Playoffs
[YT]dawF3i9XmKI[/YT]
Stuff like this is why I don't watch the NBA anymore. It's rigged. People talk about NFL officiating, but I still think those guys are some of the best in the business. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
^ I totally agree, I am a big Celtics fan but I watch it with little passion anymore. It seems to be rigged at times. The officiating is awful at best.
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
I haven't been watching the playoffs, I feel like I am awaiting the inevitable Miami/LA/Boston win. I'm rooting for the Thunder to win it all because I'm a fan of Kevin Durant, but other than that I don't have much interest in watching it. If the Wizards made it I'd watch, but we all knew the odds of that happening.
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
^ I think OKC or SA have a better chance of wrapping up the title this year. I be shocked if OKC doesn't win it all.
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
I still laugh at how that close line by Artest wasn't called, YET they had to blow the whistle at the other end on his missed layup.
I couldn't be a coach. I'd be kicked out of every game...lol |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Anybody else enjoy seeing LeBron "King" James fall flat on his face in the playoffs? I sure as hell do. Pacers curb stomped them tonight.
Jim Rome @jimrome Another game or two like this and Dwyane Wade won't have to worry about not getting paid for the Olympics. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Go Pacers. Finally a little bit of competitive balance in the NBA.
|
A bunch of excuses from Wade out of their press conference. And although lebron got points he went missing during key parts of the game. Several ridiculous flops too.
I really dislike the Heat. |

Really people? Get lives Happy for the Pacers and especially Roy Hibbert, but I don't have the same level of hatred for LeBron and the Heat that's so popular Rooting for the Spurs to get another ring |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
The Heat can't close a door. I love watching them struggle. Plus I gotta give big ups to my man Roy Hibbert from Georgetown/Georgetown Prep.
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
The Heat don't have any heart. Point blank. They thought the NBA was going to be intimidated and they got a rude awakening.
Now Mike and Mike are making excuses, Wade is sore, Bosh, etc. Boo effin hoo. Pacers in six. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Spurs are putting it to people's asses this year in the playoffs. Chris Paul didn't do squat and neither did most of the Clippers. Still dumbfounded how they blew a 24 point lead the other night.
Also, this is a fine mockery of Stephen A. Smith. [YT]P8KRB2G31Q0[/YT] |
Thunder up!!
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
LOVE seeing Kobe Bryant lose.
Next to go down...the Heat! I was hoping for a Pacers-Sixers Eastern Finals just to screw with Stern. OKC vs. Indiana finals! |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Incoming Kobe blaming everybody but himself in 5...4...3...2...
Also to note: Orlando Magic part ways with coach Stan Van Gundy, general manager Otis Smith - ESPN Wonder what took them so long. This is one of the reasons why the NBA is such a crappy product. You have the "stars" running the teams. You don't see that shit in the NFL. Imagine if Tom Brady went to Bob Kraft and wanted Bill Bellicheat fired?...lol |

Shaq for GM? Really? Really? My goodness these owners/presidents decisions are just mind boggling. Yeah, that's the guy I want leading my team. A guy who pretty much had a feud in every location he went (Orlando/LA/Miami), and a dude that had a half-ass work ethic and got by on his size alone. Yeah, that's the kind of guy I want leading me NBA team! Hey, no wonder and and Dwight get along so well, they have so much in common. (lazy, self-entitled) |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Ha...Sixers won again. Game 7 coming up.

I am big Celtics fan and I have to to say that is the worst series of basketball I have seen in a long time. They should rename it the brick layers convection. I kind of hope the C's get knocked off; it will be painful to watch them in the next round. The Celtics totally drag their asses and then when they decide to play they crush Philly. Game 4 was a complete joke; they totally just put it on cruise control and surrender that big lead. |

Yeah, I know he signed a 5 year contract last season, but he knows that team isn't going anywhere with the aging talent it has on it currently. Rondo is their only decent player to note. |

Rondo, Bradley, a returning healthy Jeff Green, 2 first round picks in a deep draft, Brandon Bass. They still have a good nucleus to build around. |

That is what sucks big time is not having Green to spell Pierce and Bradley out as well. I think you let KG and Allen walk and start retooling. Allen is totally cooked. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
For me it's anyone but the Celtics. Don't like the Heat, but eventually they'll wind up with one (would be so sweet if they didn't).
|
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Blah, Heat's best chance to lose in the East was the Pacers.
Lets hope for a Sixers run now. I'm putting my vote for OKC to win it all. |

Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Celtics don't have much of a chance to beat the Heat.
In other news, Ricky Rubio watches the NBA playoffs. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
God are the NBA playoffs getting worse? College basketball and the bracket is head and shoulders above that garbage last night. The fact Boston makes it to the eastern finals tells you all you need to know about the current state of the league: crap.

Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
Good article here about Dwight Howard and the Magic.
McNulty: Dwight Howard bullied his way to Magic changes You'd think that owners would have learned from the Cleveland/LeBron James fiasco to never allow players to run their franchises or have any say so on decisions. The moment you put the player before you do your franchise, you are going to lose out. It's sickening how these teams cater to these prima-donnas. |

Celtics choking yet again. I saw they had a nice lead going into the 4th and they blew it. Time for Ray Allen and KG to retire. |

I think the NBA is just trying to make it look like a "series" because they like to add drama to it. You can watch the replay of last night's game here. Watch Live Sports Events and ESPN Programs Online and on Mobile Applications - WatchESPN Many people killing James for passing up that shot at the end of regulation, but they moved 3 people out on him. Had he saw Wade under the basket instead of Haslem, they would have walked out a winner no doubt. Dude did sink that crucial 3 that tied them up. |

The C's have had double digit leads in the past 3 games. The C's may not be better then Heat but the are also not completely inferior to them either. The Celtics have always been a thorn in the Heat's side. Last year if Rondo had not dislocated his elbow that series too would have been more competitive. |
Re: 2012 NBA Playoffs
I'm totally rooting for the Celtics here. I would enjoy it greatly if it came down to a game 7, Heat have 3 point lead with under 3 seconds left in regulation, Celtics shoot a 3 get fouled in the process, the 3 goes down and they win on a free throw with no time left in regulation.
