Lol, I would pay to see McNabb in the same system as Washington. |

Do what?...lol |
Re: Viking release McNabb
What a waste.
For the Redskins and the NFL. |
Re: Viking release McNabb
I guess he wants a new tailor to fire.
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
I wonder why he lost his mojo so suddenly. I know he is a choke artist in the playoffs, but still he was a pretty decent QB til his last season with the Eagles.
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
Maybe NcNabb's skill set really deteriorated quickly from what it was just a few years ago, but maybe his skill set really isn't much changed and there was a special synergy between he and Reid. Both guys have suffered since the divorce so to speak.
FYI I like both of them quite a lot. |

Re: Viking release McNabb
He might not have played well in Washington but was it the system or him, point being how com Campbell others liked but here with the Skins, fans say he sucked?
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
One thing is for sure. It's been 2 years since DM5 left and Philly has yet to win a playoff game. So instead of them making it over the hump they have taken several steps in the opposite direction lol. I hope the curse continues indefinitely:)
He might not have played well in Washington but was it the system or him, point being how com Campbell others liked but here with the Skins, fans say he sucked?
With McNabb, I think it was just that he wasn't here long enough to gain any "longtime supporters." But you'll find plenty of people who believe they were similar and that the Redskins managed to screw up both situations with two different front offices.
The difference is that McNabb's value to the franchise was the highest on the day he was acquired, and just tanked from there at every opportunity. The selection of Jason Campbell in the first round in 2005 was pretty much universally viewed as an overdraft, but Campbell looked viable as a NFL starter until the day he was traded. |

I can't believe I'm the first to say this, but anyways,
vet min? Anybody? Anybody? |

Re: Viking release McNabb
What I wonder now is will dm5 swallow his pride and make himself available as a backup, where he could almost certainly play another few years (brunell is 41, and garcia just worked out for the texans at 41), or will mcnabb just retire.
I personally think he will retire, but if don loves the game and wants to help out still, im sure someone will sign him as a primary backup. Who knows, he may get the chance to start again one day, you never really know in the nfl... |
Re: Viking release McNabb
He should just retire already.
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
McNabb's skill deteriorated so fast because of his lazy work habits and poor study habits. When he was younger he could get away with those flaws but not once he got older. I think his bad work and study habits are the reason MN got rid of him as they didnt want DM's bad habits rubbing off on their young QBs.

Not according to him.... I just heard an int with DM on the M/M show. He says "ask ANY of the players on either the Skins or Vikes. THEY would tell you I am the first guy there and the last guy to leave........" ......to funny |
Re: Viking release McNabb
I would never dis his career simply because he never won a sb. He made it there & he lead a very good team for years w/limited weapons. He was a pretty good qb in his day, but that day has passed.
I think he could play another few years as a backup if he wants to, and due to injuries he could be in a starting lineup next week. I think even philly has to consider him, he might help improve morale on that team. |
Re: Viking release McNabb
I would pick up McNabb off of waivers so I could start him against the Jets and then bench him again for Rex Gross. Then I would cut him the following Monday.
:cheeky-sm I'm a evil bastard like that. |

I'm so tired of McNabb. Just go away man.

My bad I got you confused with CB59, I remember you being in the mix but you were explain his train of thought; obviously not defending. Again my apologies. |
Re: Viking release McNabb
And he goes unclaimed
Maybe he can hold a private workout with TO |
Re: Viking release McNabb
Wow. I thought at least Chicago would put in a claim. I guess we'll see if anyone is willing to take him on a vet min deal [I]or/I] if he will be willing to play for the same.
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
Chicago could just straight up sign him now. I'm not sure what the contractual difference is (if any) between signing him as a true FA or claiming him off waivers
|
Re: Viking release McNabb
And he goes unclaimed
Maybe he can hold a private workout with TO
Not too surprised that no one claimed him off waivers. He comes late in the year with a hefty price tag. You can bet there are less costly alternatives out there. |

Maybe he can hold a private workout with TO
:laughing2 All those teams that had injuries to QBs and still didn't claim him. Says a lot about his skills as a QB now. He should just retire instead of embarrassing himself further. Well signing him as a FA is a low cost alternative as opposed to picking him off the waiver wire. Sent from my Samsung Epic 4G. |

I liked NC_Skins idea. Yes I'm still bitter over losing that 2nd round pick. I'd also like to note that 3 years ago you couldn't have bet me that in the future Kyle Orton would be picked up off waivers but Donovan McNabb wouldn't. |
