Official Mock Draft Thread
Post all the mock drafts and information you can find right here.
Let's try to keep discussions off this thread and only post links to mock drafts. I'll start off with a couple I've come across, http://www.nfldraftblitz.com/mock_draft.htm http://www.draftnotebook.com/draft_projection.htm http://warroom.sportingnews.com/nfl/draft/sample/2005/mockdraft/1.html |
Hmmm, The Sporting News doesn't seem right with their first three projections. I see the Niners, Dolphins and Browns all taking QBs. It also seems like the Titans have spent enough first rounders on their D-line. I would think they'd go offense.
And I really don't want to see Antrell Rolle in a Cowboy uniform. That would be a nightmare. |

if they're still on the board, i say we take braylon edwards, or mike williams..... plain and simple!
|
Again, the defense wasn't the problem in 2004. Playmaking WR all the way!
|
first of all I don't think Mike williams will slip past us in the draft we'll draft him if he gets to us. Secondly I wonder if we dont' sign smoot in the offseason would we draft antrel rolle of miami, or trade for a corner like phillip buccanon of the Raiders. Another possiblity is we sign Jerry porter who is originally from DC to a deal as a cheaper compliment to coles.
|
jerry porter would not be a bad pick up, he is solid and shouldnt be asking for top tier dollars. my only real problem with losing smoot, if we do, will be the age of our corners, both will be over 30 years old. we need to at least get a corner in the 3rd round or 4th round i think.
|
Matt Roth at 9. We will address our WR and OL issues with free agents.
|
I don't believe we are going for the spectacular pick this draft, this draft will be a lunch pail draft, LINEMEN we have to address the center position one way or the other, our backs and reciever's will look fine once we do that, if we don't I don't care who we draft at WR it will be irrelivent, our WR's haven't had a problem getting seperation so they are getting the job done run blocking is the problem and the center position particularly that has to be addressed by draft of free agency, I highly doubt we take a WR with our 1st pick, that's if we even have it we probably will trade down.

jesus guys, the draft is 3 months away.
|
haha yes i agree, the draft is far away and its great that there is anticipation for it...i just like all the possibilites that the redskins have this upcoming season

LOL, welcome to the offseason at thewarpath.net |
With all of this commentary.....
With all of this commentary, has everyone lost sight of the issue?
hailredskins.com, Mock Draft Forum and links, has by far, the best links and connections to mock drafts anywhere. I don't know, I look at three Mocks, randomly chosen, print them, see the names, and thank God we got somebody close to where they are projected to go. Remember, we always draft the best available player at that position in the draft, and only if they are worthy of that spot! Need has almost nothing to do with the pick. Also remember the washpost.com is usually dead on when it comes to projecting the 1st pick. The washtimes hasn't a clue sometimes, but is a good read, anyway, for info starved fans! I believe the Post predicted Taylor last year, and the Times went for Winslow! Also remember, FA comes first! Money well spent on a known commodity is always better than an unknown, unproven one. The problem with the Redskins philosophy, historically the past few years, with LDS and cousin vinnie at the controls, is we don't always adhere to the well spent part of FA! LDS just figures it's his to spend any way he pleases! He's just not out to please us! Maybe we should guess who will be the modestly gifted athelete to receive the biggest bonus for the Redskins this year in FA! Or, we could go back to discussing Rand-me Moss again! |
If we don't talk about the upcoming season and the draft... what else is there to talk about? LOL

They have us taking David Pollack at #9, letting Williams drop to #21 (Jags) and Dan Cody goes AFTER Pollack at #13 (Texans) I think this one is the most bizzare I have seen in quite some time. |
I agree...
That's a pretty whacked-out scenario. |
chris kelly 7th round, OK im a homer
|
Ok can someone explain to me why we need D-fence players. When they were #3 overall for the NFL. Why not go for offence. We do need a little work on the line Not that they arnt bad. Cause they arnt. But that is just my opinion
|
One Mock I saw had the Redskins picking
DE David Pollack, Georgia.....the reasons were, the Skins need more of a pass rush and Gibbs will love this guys work ethic, intensity, and attitude..... |

for those that don't have insider, kiper has us taking Williams... but that may all change that Chow is the OC in TN...
