Super Bowl Predictions...

Now that our season is over what are the predictions for the Super Bowl this year? Who do you want to see win? Being that I am from Centeral PA and closer to Pittsburgh I want to see them win it or Green Bay.

SmootSmack 01-05-2005 02:10 AM

I'd like to see Packers vs. Chargers.

Daseal 01-05-2005 07:49 AM

It's going to be ATL vs SD or Indy.

NY_Skinsfan 01-05-2005 08:28 AM

i would love to see philly get in and get destroyed by peyton and company...but then again if green bay can beat philly in the nfc championship...that would be fine by me. either way, i'd like to see indy finally get a superbowl win.

MTK 01-05-2005 08:52 AM

Pitt vs. ATL with Pitt taking it all

BrudLee 01-05-2005 08:57 AM

Does anyone think Philly will make it to the Super Bowl? I know I don't. I don't care if you've locked up home field, they showed nothing at all the last two games, and that can't be good for morale.

MTK 01-05-2005 09:03 AM

I think the NFC is wide open right now with no clear favorite. Philly has as much of a chance as anybody.

A team that could make some noise in my opinion is the Rams. If Martz is smart and pounds the ball like he should have been doing all year, I think they could knock someone off.

Paintrain 01-05-2005 09:12 AM

Patriots over the Falcons.. I think Belichick will have a plan for Big Ben this time and he'll have Dillon.. The Eagles can say what they want, but their offense isn't the same without T.O.

skinsguy 01-05-2005 10:00 AM

Pittsburgh Vs Atlanta with Pittsburgh winning it all....

Skins fan 44 01-05-2005 10:03 AM

Indy and Green Bay. Indy take all.

Redskins_P 01-05-2005 10:30 AM

Indy vs ATL

Indy takes it all..

bedlamVR 01-05-2005 02:00 PM

i want to say

Pitt Vs ATL
Pitt wins

But Big Ben in the big game in his first year after he has already hit the Rookie wall.. maybe asking a little much.

Probably NE Vs ATL NE wins 2 in a row.

Philly ( and I may be biased as i hate them) start their long fade this year I don't see them as good as they were last year and the strong D is getting old and gummy ... Green bay let them go last year after soundly beating them for 3 &1/2 quaters in every aspect of the game... hopefully they wont let that happen again.

PSUskinsfan11 01-05-2005 02:23 PM

As long as Philly doesn't even make it to the NFC champ. game I don;t care if it is Seahawks vs. Chargers

BleedBurgundy 01-05-2005 03:46 PM

My father is an eagles fan and he's now rooting against them because of the last two games. He thinks they have no pride or respect for the game, that they feel like they've already locked up a trip to the bowl. I wonder if other philly fans feel similarly. For myself, I can see the logic in protecting against injuries but something doesn't really seem right about it...

BIGREDSKINFAN63 01-05-2005 04:03 PM

i think the patriots are going beat the ever loving hell out of the iggles in the superbowl.

TheMalcolmConnection 01-05-2005 04:12 PM

I'd love to see Peyton finally get one. The entire Colts team has played well throughout the entire year. Every team has their off days and I think that the Colts will best the Steelers for the Super Bowl birth and make it a good game against the Falcons in the Super Bowl.

jdlea 01-05-2005 04:27 PM

I said in the preseason that it could be Atlanta vs. New England. I've gotta stick with that since they're both in the playoffs.

jdlea 01-05-2005 04:35 PM
Super Bowl: Patriots confuse Vick into 2 early picks and that's all the Pats need. 17-14, Falcons never recover...Patriots win. I know it's the easy way out to pick the champ, but all they did was get better.
Here's the proof. From "A little early, but fun" thread at the beginning of the season.

Shane 01-05-2005 10:55 PM

This seems like Pittsburgh's year to me. I think Philadelphia will make it despite their mistake of sacrificing the last part of the season to rest players. It'll be Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania Bowl.

SKINSnCANES 01-05-2005 10:57 PM

Rams vs steelers

Gmanc711 01-06-2005 01:27 AM

Somehow I think New England is going to end up back there again. I'll Say Atlanta v New England, New England winning..... again!

I hate Boston!

Redskins8588 01-06-2005 01:30 AM

I dont think that New England will get by Pittsburgh even if Corry Dillon is healthy. I mean no one ran on Pittsburgh D this year. Also NE will probably have to face the Colts again and with NE having a depleted secondary that could be what is needed to lift the colts over NE this year.

Redskins8588 01-14-2005 02:41 AM

TheMalcolmConnection 01-14-2005 03:08 PM

I'd like to see Indy vs. Minn in the Super Bowl with Indy coming out on top. (Mainly, I don't want to see the Falcons or Eagles make it)

I know I'll catch crap over this, but does anyone else think Michael Vick is over-rated as hell? I KNOW that he's a decent player, but everyone acts like he is Jesus reincarnate. When he learns how to THROW the ball, I'll reconsider my opinion of him. He has a GREAT supporting cast and many weapons other than his feet which have contributed to the wins they've had this year.

Daseal 01-14-2005 03:56 PM

Michael Vick is the single most exciting and talented offensive player in the league. You question Vick's arm, I wouldn't. He has an amazing arm and can really gun the ball, just give him time to harness that arm and defenses will be rocked. What offense doesn't do well without a running game and at least 1 great receiver (crumpler) I beg you, name one! The Falcons will win the NFC I believe.

TheMalcolmConnection 01-14-2005 04:10 PM

I'm going to stand by that. He DOES have an arm, but an inaccurate one...

MTK 01-14-2005 04:27 PM

Vick is still a RB playing QB. Until he becomes a better passer people are going to continue to call him overrated. He does have a rocket for an arm, but he's still too wild.

SmootSmack 01-14-2005 04:47 PM
Vick is still a RB playing QB. Until he becomes a better passer people are going to continue to call him overrated. He does have a rocket for an arm, but he's still too wild.
I agree. And the thing is as long as he can rely on his legs how much effort is he really going to put in to being a better passer? The arm strength is definitely there but that doesn't make him a great QB per se.

TheMalcolmConnection 01-14-2005 05:38 PM

Exactly... to go to the next level he has to become more accurate throwing the ball.

MTK 01-14-2005 11:43 PM

here's a madden sim of this weekend's playoff games, last week they picked all 4 winners

skinsguy 01-17-2005 11:06 AM

Alright guys....I'm making my SB predications now! Get ready for the Michael Vick experience in the Super Bowl.....against PITTSBURGH!!!

TheMalcolmConnection 01-17-2005 12:04 PM

Anyone but the Eagles...anyone.

MTK 01-17-2005 01:40 PM

Pats vs. Eagles
