If we do not win this, were pretty much not going to make the playoffs. We have a tough schedule ahead. Tennesee, Vikings, and Giants. I think the 2nd half of the year is way worse than the first half. Its hit or miss, unfortunately after losing to the lions and the rams, I dont have high hopes of a playoff birth, i hope im proved wrong!:food-smil

Man what a way to start a Fing Eagles week thread Mr Doom and Gloom. We need a rule that if your going to start the Fing week thread it must start on a positive note.

I had us 9-7 or 10-6 at best. I'm figuring 9-7. We lost to the Rams but made it up with the Packers. We lost to the Lions but I think we can make it up with the Vikings. I'd have to go back and check but I think I counted us breaking even with all the division rivals. The Eagles might have been on my we'll beat them twice idea though. But even if we lose we can make it up against the Cowboys. ;) What the team needs to do is win a game they were not expected to win to replace the Lions game.

The Giants are scaring me but they did sustain some injuries this weekend to their OL. Hopefully it works out for us.

I'm going to tell you flat out, I don't think we win this game the way Vick is playing. If Philly plays their game, they'll beat us.

If we overachieve and McNabb gets his head out of his ass, then we got a shot.

We put MV down once I guess we just need to do that again. McNabb will be ready to beat his old team. I think we stomp them.

The way Vick is moving around, we've got to put Landry on him as a spy. And the rest of the secondary will just have to sack up and cover.

I think the Eagles can be had on the ground. Torain, Portis, whoever plays, we need a big game from them.

I see 3 missed field goals in this game. 1 by Philly and 2 by us. Ultimately we win because record doesn't matter in the NFC East.

At this point, it looks like we're talking Torain or Williams.

I expect CP next week...at least in a limited role.

I completely agree -- you don't get to suggest bestiality without being on a high note.

About the game -- it's like every other game, a measuring stick to see what is getting better, what is getting worse etc. Banks is gone so a huge spark will be missing on special teams. Good news is that Torain is back and Portis might play as well. Donovan McNabb and the OL really have to pick it up and give some confidence that the foundation for the offense is going to be okay in the long run.

For some reason I thought we played Sunday night and after your post I see we play Monday Night. Thats sweet because now I have Sunday open to go fishing as well as Saturday. That gives me a choice to pick the best day as far as weather goes. The wind has been kicking around here for the past three weeks and I have been land locked.

Man, lots of doubters this week. I don't think I've seen a prediction that has us winning.

We're at home coming off of a bye playing a team we've beaten. I think McNabb snaps out of his funk and has a good day.

I don't know, in our last 8 games we have to play the Giants twice, the Titans and the Bucs. The Vikes and Jags won't be pushovers either so it's not like the schedule gets any easier.

I surprised at the number of people picking us for 25-30 points scored. I don't see us scoring more than 14 or maybe 17 at most. As far as the final prediction, if we hadn't knocked Vick out the first time, we probably wouldn't have won that game either.

I completly agree. When Kolb came in, they were instantly handicapped. He didn't even try to hit his WRs downfield and they were open. He became the "Checkdown King". If Vick plays the whole game I think they win easily.

Guys come on. We can't guess on an NFC game. Depends on the wind, and who's got the bigger chip on their shoulder. I don't see this being the game where we put it all together. we got lucky with Vick going down last time.

I fully expect us to win this game coming off the bye and at home. I think McNabb should be movitated x million. He been called out. When he was benched last by Reid he responded by maybe the greatest stretch of play ever.

This could be the win that changes the season, for better or worst.

As much as I hate to say it, I do not like our chances. When was the last time we played well on a Monday night? The Eagles are a very quick team and quick strike team. They will get their big plays against us. In addition, the only reason we beat them last time is that we ran well against them. Torrain injured, Portis injured, Klieland Williams? Please - I like the guy but we aren't getting morre than 75 yards on the ground with him toting the rock. On top of all that, our LB's, while decent pass rushers and run pluggers, couldn't cover their head if you gave them a hat.

Philly eat's us alive. Grossman starts in the 2nd half.
