Game Goats
Casey Rabauch, need I say more?
LJ for not droping to the ground. Mike Sellers, don't throw to him no more. Albert Haynesworth....he got dominated for the most part. Have some f'ing pride man. |
Re: Game Goats
Josh Bidwell

Re: Game Goats
I give LJ a game ball for taking out Ware.

Re: Game Goats
This is a f'ing stupid thread. Nothing personal but this is horseshit. We just beat everyone's Super Bowl pick. Read a motivational book or something.

Re: Game Goats
In lieu of starting a Smoot Lays the Smack Down Thread, I'll just respond here
saden nailed it. Plus Rogers for not catching that interception. People here love to knock Hall, but Hall makes that play Sellers blows |
Re: Game Goats
There was one goat in Washington tonight (minus Obama who is here every night). Alex Barron.

The whole d-line needs a better job at this 3-4. Oh and whoever thought it was a good idea to throw a fade pass to 5'-11" Anthony Armstrong. |

He and Rabach need a retirement party. Dan can bring the Papa Johns. Rogers, I think, is going to learn to catch that ball. He's going to be in position a lot to make that play this year. |

Re: Game Goats
Rogers is in the league how long? Yeah, he's not going to develop magical hands.
Not magic. I just don't think he's going to be surprised to see a catchable ball coming his way at some point. Got two really poorly coached years to make up for. That's harder than coming back from a knee injury.
And yeah, Hall would have caught it. |

No worries, the smack down thread is going on an indefinite hiatus anyway |
Re: Game Goats
Would also like to add James Lofton. Had to listen to the first quarter of the game on the radio and Lofton (analyst for Westwood One Radio) kept referring to "Redskins rookie wide receiver Anthony Anderson"
|
Re: Game Goats
Rabach, still wondering why he got 4m/yr for 3 years extension before coaches saw him even in camp
O-Line when run-blocking, if that counts Mike Sellers, drops drops drops drops (imagine Lil Jon) |

Re: Game Goats
Kyle Shanahan maybe, at least in the red zone

Like Marko Mitchell, Colt Brennan, etc.. the last time we saw it was in the preseason. Looked promising but the front office decided it was time to part |
Re: Game Goats
I'm going to disagree on Bidwell.. high and to the body snap he didn't get set.. one coming across the turf he did... bad punt when he was pinned back, but also dropped one at the 1
|
Re: Game Goats
while not a goat I wasn't very impressed by Doughty.. a step behind on many plays, some missed tackles, etc
|
Re: Game Goats
Josh Bidwell, no doubt about it. Honorable mention should be Carlos stone hands Rogers. Stickum on his gloves wouldn't even help this guy..
|

Lebron James
All of this Maroon and Yellow is making me sick to the stomach! Haaa All of this Maroon and Yellow is making me sick to the stomac... on Twitpic Not only is he a front runner (Bulls, Cowboys, and Yankees are his favorite teams) but he gets our colors wrong. Even your average Cowboy fan knows we're Burgundy and Gold. Comments in TwitPic NSFW. |

Anyone else see B-Mitch's little rant about Lebron. Hilarious stuff. |
Re: Game Goats
I think we are all in consensus that Mike Sellers is trash. Can't catch a ball for shit (and we've known this since early last season), constantly whiffs on blocks, and just about the only thing I've seen him do effectively lately is tackling on special teams, which is not what a fullback should be noted for. And it's time to replace Rabach too.
As for Carlos Rogers, I could be unhappy that he has hands of stone, no doubt about it, but I'll just be content having one corner that's a playmaker (D.Hall) and another one who is a good cover corner but just can't catch the ball. We could do a lot worse than him. And Bidwell shanking that punt. Man that was atrocious. Remind me why we had to let Hunter Smith go? Hunter the Punter was the closest thing we've had to a decent punter since Tom Tupa was here. |

If James isn't the biggest douchbag in sports I don't know who is. |
Re: Game Goats
Armstrong choked. McNabb threw nice passes to him in the endzone, which he juggled incomplete.
|
Re: Game Goats
Josh Bidwell gets mine by far. I know its drastic, but if he got cut today, I'd say "thats about right". The snap was a little high on that field goal, but he NEEDS to get that down. Then the shank that led to the Cowboys TD... those were two HUGE swings. If we make that feild goal, its 16-7 at the end of the game and we dont need to hold on.
Mike Sellers was one of my favorite players a few years ago...but I think he might be done. |
Re: Game Goats
Chill out dude. Too much emotion? LOL.
Poor word choice by me. My point was that Shanny hadn't even stepped up for the presser and we have a "goat" thread on the board. I guess it is the age we live in but if we can't enjoy a win for at least a few hours it is pretty sad. |

It is true. Either way, Carlos is the best coverage guy we have on the team. He is much better than Hall in that regard. Btw, that missed int was one of his worst. The ball didn't even get to his hands, it bounced off his forearm. lol |

Re: Game Goats
Rabach was terrible, it seemed like he was getting pancaked on every play. Sellers should have been cut years ago.

Hey man, keep your sexual preferences to yourself. This is a "Don't ask, Don't tell" board! I'm going with Bidwell. Between the shanked punt and the boggled snap (yeah - it wasn't perfect, but, sometimes, you gotta get that kind down). On top of that, I haven't checked his average, but his punts seemed short to me. He is followed by Anthony Armstrong - twice he is hit in the hands in the endzone. The second was a tough catch, but that's why they pay you the big bucks man! Mike Sellers, Stone hands Rogers and Casey "turnstile" Rabach for the reasons stated above. Finally, any receiver not named Moss or Cooley. Come on guys!! Make a play!! |

Since you mention Anthony, i've been trying to figure out - how is it we have a 26 year old rookie on our team? did he spend 8 years in high school or something? |
Re: Game Goats
There's no way Doughty should next wk. Blown coverages, being late to the ball, and terrible anticipation skills don't make a FS.
|
Re: Game Goats
He wasn't exactly a goat, but was Fred Davis auditioning for the lead role in The Invisible Man?

He's bounced around, spent some time on practice squads, spent some time in the Arena league as well as the Intense Football League, whatever the heck that is. |
