Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
I agree with the AH comments but to say DM will never win a super bowl is a little ridiculous IMO. I think this guy needs to shut up and go away. Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
The less Riggins the better.. Try to stay relevant somewhere else please.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
^ does he hate the organization all of the sudden? He always talks down about the redskins anymore. Shut the **** up please
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
:drink
^Riggo |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
This the same Riggins who took a year off because he didn't like his contract and would frequently skip practices during the week in order to play on Sundays? That Riggins?
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
^ lol yes that drunk ass riggins.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
I actually sort of agree with his opinion. Fat Al has pretty much been nothing but a gigantic pain in the ass with a ridiculous price tag, and 8 days into training camp he's been a big distraction and the center of a media circus. And I don't think McNabb will ever win a Super Bowl either, but that's just my gut- not based on anything concrete. Sure there's a chance the stars align perfectly and McNabb becomes the next Elway, but I'm not too sure about that happening.
All that said, Riggins is basically nothing more than a funny (or obnoxious) quote these days. I think mentally he checked out a while ago. He should be quiet. |

ZING!! Seriously. Shut up, John. You sound like a hypocritical moron. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Definitely think he's blowing the AH situation up into something it's not.
And I really don't get where he's coming from in regard to McNabb. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Mcnabb is a better qb than anyone he ever played with in Washington. The guy made sorry ass WRs look good ( pinkston, Mitchell, thrash) his winning % is very good and has played in a super bowl. Give the guy a break
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Had to of been drinking. I can understand the AH stuff, but McNabb and Favre lol. I don't know. I mean I'm sick of Favre too, but I don't think he's nuts.
Oh well, that's Riggo for you. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
I seriously just watch his show last week and he was bashing MS for being to hard on AH. I think he just says anything to get ratings, sad!
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Riggo calling someone else nuts?
Now that's comedy. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
this is harsh, but that's riggo, right?...also i swear half this board was singing his praises when he was destroying zorn and campbell last year...
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Riggo just needs to chill.....His track record suggests he really shouldn't be bad mouthing anybody.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
So tired of Riggins. He just runs his mouth to keep himself in the news and for ratings. But AH is a loser and we never should've signed him and although McNabb is an upgrade over JC I'm not sure we've got the players around him to be a SB winning QB. Put McNabb on Minnesota and it's a different story.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
And he wonders why he can't find a good job in broadcasting.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
I am sick of hearing his alchie voice. Its like Theismann, and how he badmouths the redskins every chance he gets. I now can add Riggo to the list of ex Redskins that I can't stand.
1. Theismann 2. Lavar Arrington 3. John Riggins (All three of them are egomaniacs as well.........) |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Theismann bad mouths the Redskins? In what universe?
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Theismann is a true Redskin through and through. I've never ever heard him say a bad word about the Redskins. If anything, he goes overboard with praise the majority of the time.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
McNabb will be fine guys. He's a stud QB and gives this team a chance to win any game on our schedule. JC could never do that.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Riggo hasn't changed. He's been saying stupid stuff for years.
Unfortunately a $21M check and getting nothing of value in return for AH makes it a little hard to just kick AH out of camp. Nice vote of confidence for our QB for probably the next 3-4 years. And I'm pretty damn sick of Favre too, he's just not nuts, he's a self-centered a-hole. |

I totally think John Riggins is out of line, and making an ass of himself again. McNabb, went to the super bowl and lost, with a chance to win at the end. I think McNabb's best attribute is he is a winner. With that said, Sunny Jorgenson and Joe Thiesman, and some that I never saw before have played for this franchise that would make you statement very debatable. |

Add Slingin' Sammy Baugh to that list. McNabb may be good, but not that good. He's have his Jekyll/Hyde moments folks. There will be times he's on fire and other times he's utter suck. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Is Freddie "Fur Coat Mitchell" still avaliable?
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
At least Riggo is being constructive and helpful. :(
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
He told the truth about Haynesworth. I think his comment about McNabb is being overblown. All he is saying is that he doesnt think McNabb will win a superbowl.

Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Honestly, I think the sports reporting on the Redskins in this town is horrible. Granted, that the Redskins haven't given anyone a reason to cheer. But you can only take so much of the type of negative and demeaning comments that people on the radio make about the team.
I despise the Sports Reporters, everytime they discuss anything Redskins related they act like total pricks. Kevin Sheehan tends to do the same thing. Not that everything has to be rosy and positive, but talk some damn football. In the offseason I listened to ESPN Pittsburgh football talk through podcast, and it was completely different. They actually talked football, and not talking about the Steelers like they were TMZ or something. |

I can not stand some of the commentary these guys bring up, there are plenty of positives from this past offseason. AND if I hear one more guy state that Dan Snyder still runs this team I am going to flip out man. DS has taken a huge step back from any football related decsions but talking heads still caring on with the "Dan is making the descions mantra". When will that little tid bit end. FYI not talking about Sirius NFL Radio as most of those guys are constructive and informed on all the teams in the league. |
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
You guys should listen to the former linebacker some times. THAT guy and his partner have such an agenda.
|
Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Riggins stance on Haynesworth is flip floppy at best. I was reading his facebook page last week and he was stating that they should just get AH on the field, now he wants him off the team less than 6 days later. Take a stance and stick to it.
I like Riggo as a talking head and it seems when he was on Sirius he was much more of a homer, but now that he has a show in DC it seems as though his commentary is much harsher than the past. (FYI I only know of a small sampling of his local radio show so don't beat my comment up to much) |

I don't get to listen to his show much at all being down here. I catch when I am in the DC area though. Get alot of his comments second hand on the Warpath. |

I did enjoy the "Sandy Baby" comment, even if it was completely inappropriate. :D I guess he's always figured, it someone doesn't like what he says, he'll just plow them over. That only works on the field, John. |

I like Matt Williamson a lot and he tends to talk mainly from a football standpoint (he's a Stats, Inc. guy). The only time I listen to Mike & Mike, is when they have someone like John Clayton or Mort on. They are pretty annoying sometimes. |

It's not the same thing really. While it was annoying, he at least had a bit of a point about Zorn and Cerrato (can't remember what he said about Campbell). Who knows what his point is about McNabb being a good politician. And what he's saying about Haynesworth is somewhat laughable because he was once that same guy |

Yeah, last week he was wearing a Free Albert shirt. Now he's bashing him, i dont really get it. In his defense this was from an interview on someone else's show, so it may have been one of those "set up" type questions. Also you kind of have to listen to Riggens for a while to take him in context. He will say brash catchy type things then lay out thoughtful reasoning secondly. I used to listen to his show all the time untill they stopped airing it in Richmond. Back then his show was really good. I remember thinking he was surprisingly smart and knowledgeable. Re: Riggins rips Haynesworth... Takes shot at McNabb
Riggo's just old and senile now... why anyone still listens to him I have no idea..

After Snyder expanded his radio company he temporarily put John out of work. Maybe Riggo just bashes the Redskins and Snyder now partly due to that? |
