re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Thank God this story broke, now people can leave our team the hell alone. I hear that Mike Golic will attempt to retire to see what Favre went through.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
LOL Ruhskins
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Someone told me this yesterday and my reaction was "until he changes his mind again"
Anyhow, Colt Brennan come on down! |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Right. So how long does this last? I'm guessing he comes back mid-season after the ankle heals up better.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
This time it sounds like it's for real....but knowing Favre, he may just change his mind again.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
The Viks just went from a 12-4 team to a 8-8 team IMO.. Good for the rest of the NFC i guess lol
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
This definitely means we are trading beck or sexy rexy for sidney rice straight up.... lol
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
This is a game changer in a lot of ways. As far as the Skins go, they'd better lock up McNabb ASAP!!!
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
He'll be back...

Provided it sticks, yes. Let's see if he's still "retired" in a month. |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
This takes the Vikings from a 9-7 team to...aw, heck, Favre's not going anywhere. He skips four games, max, with his ankle injury.
Then people spend the offseason arguing about whether to give him continuation of his consecutive starts streak as an active player. Joy. |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Media stunt...favre will be back...childress will come to mississippi and come begging and crying and humping brets leg praying and hoping to make him come back..."Not Tavaris!!!NOOOOO"
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
There goes the Vikings season....From 12-4 to 7-9, sucks to be a Vikings fan. I hope he doesn't come back.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
He will be back by 1st or 2nd reg season game....
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Who gives a crap. Diva!
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Technically, he hasn't officially retired yet. So let's just wait and see. Sucks for NBC's season opener though if he does.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Music to the ears of the other QB's that have been waiting in line. I'll believe it though when he's not there the night before the opener.
This guy has accomplished about all he need too in the game, time to give it a rest. |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Brett Favre is so old, the first time he retired Longtimefan was just Fan

Emphasis on the "MEDIA" part. Considering our first sources were PFT and ESPN...I'm not believing it until Sage Rosenfels is on the field for Week 1. I don't think he'll end his career with that horrible INT against the Saints. He's too competitive to let it end that way. |

re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I just hope Stacy dales stays on NFL network all day

I feel good for not picking any Minny players. No, not even Adrian Peterson because he choked on me late last season. :D |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Even without Favre I see the Vikes as a 10-11 win team.

Do you like Travis Jackson or Sage Rosenfels as your starter? I think Travis might be better at throwing the ball from his back foot and running instead of throwing but I wouldn't count out Sage when it comes to completion percentage and throwing INTs. And of course they both know how to get hit and take a sack. If they win 10 games it will be a miracle. |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I think that Tavaris will start, he didn't look that bad in pre-season.
|
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
Yawn^100.

I don't think 10 wins is that much of a stretch. You're talking about a team with a good OL, running game, defense, and weapons in the passing game. |
re: Brett Favre Reportedly hasn't decided to retire (AGAIN)
I wont believe it until I see week 1 and actually see someone else under center...

Sort of like last year's Jets? It's a distinct possibility but I don't think their defense or o-line is as good. Time will tell. One thing I do remember is the number of plays Favre had to make for the Viking to win games and I really don't think Travis is better than he was two years ago.. |
