The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
 

I know it's still 6 hours away, but draft day(s) is one of my favorite sports days of the year. I have the day off today, and I'm definitely looking forward to some good food, cold beer, and draft analysis tonight. Pretty cool that it's prime time.

It will be interesting to see how things play out for our Redskins.

I do expect a wild ride from Bruce Allen with plenty of trades. We need more than 4 picks and have several players who can/should be traded.

Michael Smith of ESPN reports via Twitter he keeps hearing Eagles wanna go way up to the fourth pick in the draft.

The presumed target would be safety Eric Berry of Tennesse

In before the move. Impact player no matter what it is. Would prefer it to be offense but we'll see. As dominant as Suh could be I'd rather have Berry if we go D.

Could be the trick up the sleeve and part of why they didn't want Landry. I guess it's pretty well known that they want a safety. If we don't play along I guess that they'll go for Earl Thomas a bit later on.

God imagine how confusing the draft is going to be for everyone following the Redskins next year when we're not picking in the top 10.

However at the same time does anyone realize that out of the first 4 picks 3 will be from Oklahoma?

Let's just shut this down until prior to the start so we don't have a 10 page thread before the first pick is even called. I'm also going to change the title to 1st round discussion. We'll have a thread for each day.

I've talked myself into getting excited for Berry but I'd much rather get an OT. Actually, I'd much rather trade down and then get an OT.

Also, Colt McCoy sounds like he should be a jockey.

I hate to say it but ESPN's actual presentation style combined with Gruden, Young, and Kiper is much better then NFLN's. It's like come on NFL throw in some highlights. Don't you guys have the film vault that has all the game tape on college players?

Is anyone else besides me completely sick to hell of seeing Tebow everywhere..... I have never seen so much hype over a 2-3 year project QB, that will likely be selected in the 3rd round or later. :banghead:
