hello Redskins fans

Joe Gibbs here, one of my players suggested I check out this website in my spare time so thought I'd drop in to say hello and address some of your concerns.

First off, I just got back in to Redskins Park after another long night in the submarine, probably had about 4 hours of sleep. The coaches and I are really working hard to get this thing figured out.

I know you guys are really questioning Mark right now but trust me, he's going to be fine. He's been nicked up but he should be as close to 100% as he can get for the game this weekend. A lot of his struggles are due to things that are happening behind the scenes and aren't obvious to someone sitting at home, breakdowns in protections, poor routes and timing, etc. The entire offensive unit needs to improve, Mark isn't the only source of our problems. We've worked really hard during this bye week to make some adjustments and work on pass protections, and I think we'll see a lot of improvement against Green Bay.

Hang with me Redskins fans, I'm in this for the long run and this season is far from over.

-Joe Gibbs

SUNRA 10-25-2004 10:10 AM

Hello Coach Gibbs. I am one of the few who has not questioned your decision to hang in there with Mark Brunell in lew of the new system. I have not wavered on the Brunell topic because it is very easy to blame the QB, but pass protection still tops my list for the success of this team as we prepare for Green Bay. It was clear to me that Mark has not healed from that nagging hamstring injury but he still was able to move around to avoid the sack. I see us coming off of the bye week with a greater committment to close games out with effective offensive plays and good field position from our special teams in that effort. With the Giants, Cowboys loss we are right back in the race. In Gibbs's We Trust.

saden1 10-25-2004 10:27 AM

Is this for real? The fact that he said one of my players suggested I come here and address your concerns makes me very suspicious.

EEich 10-25-2004 10:40 AM

Be very suspicious.... Gibbs would never volunteer how many hours of sleep he gets.
He would be coaching his team at 9:44 AM... or consoling the Hendricks Racing Team.
This isn't Gibbs.

ChounsMan 10-25-2004 10:43 AM
Is this for real? The fact that he said one of my players suggested I come here and address your concerns makes me very suspicious.
I really doubt Coach Gibbs would ever read a website or read a newspaper about his teams effort. This is just someone playing with us.

Thanks Coach Gibbs for the update & will I be recv'ing a fax from the MotherShip when it's time to goto planet Neutron or should I just drink the punch..? :thumb:

Sincerly,
Alfred E. Newman :joke:

SUNRA 10-25-2004 10:47 AM

Sometimes you have to play along to appear totally absorbed with the man and the legend.

Gibbs wouldn't respond to any website that said his QB sucked/

Redskins_P 10-25-2004 11:01 AM

This can't be for real......

MTK 10-25-2004 11:07 AM

Coach Gibbs in the house, wow! LOL

Hogskin 10-25-2004 11:10 AM

Of course it's a farce. You would have to be awfully gullible to believe it was real. Joe Gibbs would not shy away from addressing critical fans, though. But this is certainly not the way he would choose to do it. It would be via a press conference or a scheduled interview. And it would take a hell of a lot more than silly posts on a board like this to draw him out.

Maybe we should have a poll on who you think made the post. Looking at the thread, I nominate Sunra LOL.

Hey Gibbs I need some tickets to this weeks Green Bay game can you hook me up?????

LOL. I sent Matty a message asking if he knew who it was. I'm not that clever, but thanks for the suggestion.

EEich 10-25-2004 11:21 AM

Clever?

Man, I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying. Do you really think I would waste that amount of time? I just happened to surf the threads and went along with the program.

SUNRA 10-25-2004 11:24 AM
Clever?
Yes clever. It's no secret that I have supported Brunell and Gibbs from the beginning. Some people would think I would go overboard with my argument. Will the real Coach Gibbs please stand up. I think it's Matty.

FRPLG 10-25-2004 11:27 AM

OK...so if you actually had even a fleeting thought that this was real you might want to consider suicide. If you've made it this far in life without facing some kind of serious repercussions of your retardedness I think you should be happy and maybe end it before your life turns to crap. I am embarrassed for all of you.

MTK 10-25-2004 11:28 AM

I know two things, it's not Gibbs and it's not me

ok, where's a moderator to tell us what's going on?

Gmanc711 10-25-2004 12:34 PM

No F'n Way .....

offiss 10-25-2004 12:46 PM

OK I will play along, coach Offiss here, what time do you think you will be arriving at practice tommorow? Reason I ask? I would like to stop by and give you a good slap across the face, you no to wake you up, and bring you back to reality about Brunell, and for trading for this guy to begin with, we are very aware that Brunell isn't the only problem, but he is making the rest of our problem's worse with his absolute horrible, incompetent play. Ramsey is the best you ever had to work with as a redskin, put Brunell on the bench until he screem's I will give back my signing bonus if you release me, then we all live happily ever after, super bowl, after super bowl! :thumb:

if he's that hurt, wtf is he playing?? if you can't play well hurt, DON'T PLAY.

MarkBrunell 10-25-2004 01:59 PM

Hi folks,

I really am as bad as you all think. My arm is dead, I'm as mobile as molassas and I'm having trouble reading the blitz. Thank God that CoachGibbs loves his fellow Bible reader, because I really should be riding the pine. We're in big trouble If he keeps playing me.

#8 Mark Brunell

MarkBrunell 10-25-2004 02:03 PM

hey, look... I'm a camp scrub!

Redskins_P 10-25-2004 02:15 PM

Thanks for clearing that up Mark. I must say that at least 80% of this site agrees with you.

So whose next? Walter Rasby?

Can we get Ade on the board also?

BrudLee 10-25-2004 02:51 PM

Coach Gibbs should know the IP address he registered from in in New Jersey.

Also, I'm one kick-ass moderator.

By the way, did anyone else vote for the now-cut Walter Rasby to make the Pro Bowl?

Redskins_P 10-25-2004 02:54 PM

Hmmm IP address in NJ? Isn't SUNRA from NJ?

4TH RING 10-25-2004 03:39 PM

Wow I can't believe it, I must be dreaming Gibbs & Brunnell. Mr. Brunnell, I wanted to tell you that you are my favorite player, anbody can see you have Canton written all over you. Screw the doubters it's not your fault that's we're losing. Example remember the pass last week that you threw. The one that was 10 yards out of bounds almost knocked down the gatorade cooler. There must have been ten Redskins on the sidelines and nobody made the play. You can't bail the team out every week dammit. The dropped passes are not your fault, maybe you shoudn't put so much mustard on your throws. Anyways I wish you guys would throw more of those deep 5 yard routes, you never know you might reach. :laughing-

MarkBrunell 10-25-2004 03:45 PM

Thanks for your loyalty 4th Ring... but get over it. I suck.

Hogskin 10-25-2004 05:07 PM

Actually, I think this is the REAL Mark Brunell. Check to see if HIS IP is in NJ also. I think BRUNELL is the one that was imitating Joe Gibbs!!!! In fact, that may have been Brunell at the press conference imitating Gibbs. THAT's why he said he was sticking with Brunell!!!! Could there be any other reason??

Wait a minute... you have spare time during the season??!!

I guess that explains the 2-4 start, huh?

offiss 10-25-2004 05:29 PM

My investigative instinct's tell me it is Sundra, N.J. and he was also the first person to post after the coach posted, I figure the 25 minutes in between his post and the coaches post is proper waiting time to throw people off his sent, I guess he couldn't wait for someone else to post before him, as well he's the only one who took that post serious, VERY, VERY SUSPICOUS SUNDRA.

SS who was that walking on the sidewalk, Kenyatta?

That Guy 10-25-2004 05:52 PM

maybe its all AJFC, where's his IP from?? I haven't heard from him lately and it really sounds like him...

SmootSmack 10-25-2004 05:54 PM
SS who was that walking on the sidewalk, Kenyatta?
LOL. You could be right. I had thought maybe it was Daseal because of his "Gibbs is no Spurrier" rants.

But Kenyatta, or even Walter Rasby, is a more plausible explanation.

Daseal 10-25-2004 06:59 PM
Wait a minute... you have spare time during the season??!!

Spurrier got his golf in and started better than that. Maybe coach Gibbs needs MORE spare time!
