Owen Schmitt makes Gus Frerotte's headbutt look like child's play:

Re: Owen Schmitt

He's a maniac. I remember when he was at WVU he would break facemasks regularly, and coaches would always have to tell him to tone it down during practice. He's the kind of nut job you want playing fullback.

Damn i wish we drafted him.

Yeah I was hoping we'd get him too. My kind of player. There's good crazy and bad crazy, this guy's good crazy. He'd run through a brick wall for you and enjoy doing it.

What he did to himself is a potent metaphor for living with Dan Snyder as owner.

he might just be a cokehead.

He was mentioned by VC prior to the draft and I actually thought we were going to draft him with a late round pick. Maybe they knew something I didn't.

Yeah, I fully expect to do something similar next Sunday when I watch the Redskins lose to the Chiefs.

Seriously though, football teams need guys like this who are passionate beyond comprehension. The Redskins *might* have one guy that passionate: London Fletcher. The rest of 'em are just f'ing piles.

Draft? What's a draft? Snyder wants to know. I always root for the Redskins. Maybe if I root for KC the Redskins will win!

Just another case of someone going a little too far...but hey, we all know who he is now, and we all know that any publicity is good publicity. Wonder if he's in a contract year?

x2....They had to waste some trainers time sticthing up his stupid move. Plus if he was need at all in the Seahawks first drive he probaly was not available.

Re: Owen Schmitt

Dude is an abosolute beast. I'm a WVU fan, and yes Owen Schmitt is the man and one of the nastiest runners that we ever had. The combo of Steve Slaton and Owen was a thing of beauty. We should have drafted both those guys and our Backfield would have been set for 7 years!

Owen Love him some football. He used to do that at WVU as well! Man has passion for his sport.

Im thinking this was from the Jags game, where Seattle shut them out and won 41-0. Nothing wrong with puttting your trainers to work if it fires up your team.

It was.

None of this passion translated to the field though, he's the BACKUP fullback. :D

But, he did have 1 catch for 3 yards!
