Today's game was just one of 11 more to follow that's going to look pretty much the same. What we have seen so far is what we're going to see for the remainder of this season. It's difficult to change horses in the middle of the stream.

Ok fans......when you call for the coaches head in his 2nd year, in the middle of the season ...this is the SAME AS how our front office looks to "change" things quickly instead of allowing things to mature....but yet everyone calls for Vinny to be fired. We as Redskins fans have become so familiar with chaos that we actually LOOK to blow things up just to make us believe things will be different when THEY WONT if WE still have the same mentality. examples......

1) We all agree that Vinny must go and bring in a proven GM that has a history of drafting players that produce. This will allow us to DEVELOP draft picks and grow our team with that old Redskins spirit from the ground up and not through free agency. (dont believe me? see...Pittsburgh,Philly,Colts,Giants..etc

***But we as fans talk almost EVERY day during the offseason about what FA to bring in...which is the same as the front office YOU LOVE TO HATE. We must stop this!!! Less Free agent acquistions = More draft picks (which our OL NEEDS)

2) Our stupid Front office thinks bringing in a new head coach every few years will solve the problems of having a well paid roster full of talent with no structure from the top. Every team you know that is succesful has One Goal from the top to the bottom and dont mind waiting it out for things to develop. If you noticed... Marvin Lewis had his head on a platter by the "media" and not so much by the fans (some did though)...but look at them now....patience is the key with a head coach. Our front office looks at young coaches from ATL or Denver or the Jets and say.... why cant we have instant success????...well...those org have structure....ours doesnt.(like bringing an "extra set of eyes" without telling the head coach...

No professional coach or player needs to be "babied" with all the money they are making...but they do need to be supported, so that attitude will carry over to other players. Since fans are ready for a freakin coach change...Carlos Rogers is now vocally saying things need to change.....this is the wrong message at the wrong time.

3) For all you Colt & Collins fans....we would absolutly SUCK EVEN WORSE if Campbell was not the QB...Why....Our OL is old and terrible right now...Collins would not be able to scramble...and I just dont believe in Colt AT ALL...he is a college system QB...how do I know????....I am a Texas Tech Alumn....And NO Tech QB is doing well in the NFL with ALL the record breaking performances we have had. We have ALL seen what JC can do IF he has time!! Why do we forget that(his numbers have improved EVERY year).
We spent 0 picks on OL in the first 3 rounds in the last 5 years (correct me if I am wrong) So....Campbell is the answer...for now...and if we get a solid line....I believe for the future. If Devin Thomas doesnt drop that bomb against Carolina...we are ALL praising Jason for a good performance.....

So....Our fans want to hate Vinny and Danny(which I do too) but we as fans act just like them with the way we support the team with (quick fixes instead of giving things time). Zorn should not be fired after 1yr and 1/4 of football. If it doesnt work after 3yrs then yes...change coaches...by then we should be ready for a coach to come in and gel the talent that we have from drafting players......

He was saying that Colt was a system QB and he knows about system QBs because he went to Texas Tech, not that Colt went to Texas Tech.

Texanskin thanks for that. It has been real to swallow that lose sunday , but it is so hard right now to look at the positives. As you always hear you have to take it one game at a time. Painful as it looks right now I still think we can turn this thing around. You are right we have to give Zorn atleast 3 years.

I to live in Texas and I got to stay positive because. I'm neck deep with cowturds and it is starting to smell with this constent flow of cowshit around me. So I say screw it, Hail To The Redskins, win or lose I'd rather be skins fan right now because when we do have that winning season it will be oooh that much sweeter.

I think your right about letting Zorn try to fix this mess. Zorn has been here less than 2 seasons so its not his entire fault that we have a teribble O-Line. I wonder what Joe Bugle has to say about us not drafting O-Lineman since he returned for Gibbs II. Oh lets count Rhinehart (3rd pick). Losing sucks but we need to learn that to be a winner you have to have patients with a new coaching staff. Zorn should not get fired unless he loses the locker room and the players mail it in. Like you said replacing Zorn dosen't mean we will be a winning team, we have to learn how to win again. If the players truly like and repect Zorn they will play their hearts out for him.

We hear this a lot. People complaining about changing coaches so often that there's never any continuity.

But if continuity is what we should be after, then Jim Zorn should never have been hired as offensive coordinator and Al Saunders' system should have been left in place, with Gregg Williams as head coach. That would have been an example of continuity. Instead, they completely change the offensive system of a playoff team in 2007 and implement a new system that everyone says takes two full years to learn.

I've said it before -- the deterioration of this roster isn't Jim Zorn's fault. But right now he's lost, his game plan, in-game adjustments and scheming isn't very impressive. It was an experiment that has clearly failed -- and things aren't going to get any better. I don't like mid-season firings, but if things really start to spiral out of control, he has to go.

TexanSkin, do me a favour....tell that story to Atlanta, Baltimore and Miami ....you know the three teams that started fresh and went to the play offs. ....and....you might as well tell Detroit and the Jets this yr. I know that Detroit is not special but they kicked our butts. The Jets however are looking pretty good.

So please go sell them the whole 3-4 yr growth deal and allow us to be pissed off. Than You.

Texanskin, nice post and I largely agree with your point. I've often said one of Snyder's biggest weakness is he still thinks he's that high school kid from Maryland who grew up a fan of the team so he acts irrationally. But he can't do that anymore as the owner of the team. We fans can act well "fanatically" but we expect ownership to act prudently...all that said though and as much as we all should preach patience sometimes you just have to realize when something isn't working. And right now things just aren't working.

I really appreciate the repsonses...I have been feelin like that for awhile. Again...if you want to look at 1st year coaches that turn things around as the standard..go ahead..I won't. That is not the rule but exception in those cases. What happenes if we change coaches and it looks the same way in 1 ½ years...we change again b/c it looks like its not workin??? The more money we pay a big name coach = the faster we will be disappointed cuz things didn't happen fast enough.

I going to put this out there. Do you think if we were Playing Dallas that could be a game that would first of all get our attention, nothing like a big division game to set the mood. We need to play a team that can get us hyped instead of this current winless tour. It hasn't been good for our spirit, this winless tour is killing our resolve. We need a division game stat.
