Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
discuss the game here

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
I feel sad today, after such a great start to only find out we were pretenders not contenders hurts.
Everyone here is pumped about a big game between Ravens/Steelers where we are playing for a draft spot. It just sucks. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
im pumped. to think about how badly we have been playing, and we still have a legit shot to make the playoffs. this game will pretty much define the redskins season

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
For some reason, Rogers won't be starting and Hall will take over his place..

That's weird that Rogers got benched. Maybe they feel like D'Angelo is a better matchup vs Ocho-Cinco... |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
I don't understand the deal with Rogers. Anyone know what's up? Noticed Kelly is out but Davis is in. Hmmmmm.....

If Springs starts opposite Hall then I understand this. Rogers IMHO (and I know I'm gonna get lashed for this) is not on the level Springs and Hall are on. Hall puts himself in great position to defend and get picks. Springs is just an amazing athlete. I sort of think Rogers, as I said in another thread, is a moron. Sometimes he plays neither the receiver nor the ball - he's just running alongside someone like a dog or something. (Damn, now i'm really gonna get it). Kelly has dropped passes and missed opportunities. Replacing him w/ Davis could mean some two TE sets! Be a great game to open things up. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
What a surprise, Malcolm Kelly inactive again. He must have aggravated a hangnail in practice this week.

That's the "Blood Hound Package"! I agree, this would be a good game to open things up. Maybe we'll get a chance to see Davis the way he looks in practice. (Without the mistakes.) Could give us a glimpse of what they had in mind when they drafted him. Carlos has been a little critical of the coaching lately, maybe that has something to do with it. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
Good Sunday morning from the press box at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.
The inactives have been released by the Redskins, and the only surprise is that receiver Malcolm Kelly won't be in uniform. Kelly is a healthy scratch. Who's out: QB Colt Brennan, Kelly, S Chris Horton, LB Marcus Washington, G Will Montgomery, T Jon Jansen, OL D'Anthony Batiste and DT Cornelius Griffin. CB Shawn Springs will play, and DT Kedric Golston is back after missing a few games. TE Fred Davis is back in uniform after sitting out three straight games. The Redskins also say DeAngelo Hall is starting for Carlos Rogers, which is interesting, but I don't think it's a big deal. taken from the washington times. interesting that kelly is a healthy scratch |

right back in what? Who would we beat in the playoffs. Titans. Giants. Tampa?Dallas just handed it to us. It's nice that you are optimistic but as Skins fans we need to be realistic. I'd rather see us play some young talent. Move some vets around on the line and gain some perspective on next year. Sorry. I love the Skins to but it's time to get real. |

He is very good at catching the ball when he gets his hands on it, but Rogers has consistently put himself in better position to make plays, but he has poor hands. If you look at a the passes defended stat, that's a pretty good indication of how often a DB is in position to make a play on the ball, and Rogers is among the leaders this season. Lastly, Hall's INT against Dallas was not the product of solid positioning, but was rather a severely underthrown ball by Romo. Hall was beaten to the inside by TO, and better throw would have resulted in a big play for Dallas. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
unbelieveable
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
it's not really surprising at this point
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
so predictable...
I think we lose EVERY game when we take the ball first. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
I do believe that should have been a penalty since driving your helmet into your opponent's facemask is illegal.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
damn it
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
ne one have a stat on that?
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread

|

|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
Come on Skins!!!
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
i seriously think it has to do with getting the ball first....
sum how sum way. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
Do we start it now? We need a new coach and qb
Waiting on that thread |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
Man I just don't even know what to expect any more. We're 5 minutes into the game, turned it over and now down 7 to a 1-11-1 team...
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
i dont know about giving up on them honestly.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
It's 7 points. Now if the Cin. scores 20 pts.... then i'll be a bit more worried. That was just a bad turnover deep in their own territory.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
This team sure has been hard to watch for the past few weeks. They better turn the corner quick. I'm afraid if they have a couple more bad bounces, they are just going to give up on the season.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
No one gives new life to dead teams like the Washington Redskins. Alright, lets get out of this crap!
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
lol...pathetic
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
Well I think we trailed in all the games we won, So we got that part down. I just don't know I wanted stabillty so bad and for Zorn to get atleast a couple years but this is just awful.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread

|
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread
And I'll tell you who the Redskin of the year is it's Rock Cartwright he's not that fast but is still among the league leaders in returns and he's been out most consistent all year without a doubt, Here's to Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
