Joe Bugel's Daughter Dies

Daniel Snyder just spoke to the media, telling reporters that Holly Bugel, daughter of offensive line coach Joe Bugel, has died.

"She passed this morning and our hearts and prayers go out to Joe and his family," Snyder said. "He will be leaving shortly here from Redskins Park to fly out to Arizona. We just want to wish them the best."

Holly Bugel, the second of Bugel's three daughters, had been battling a rare, aggressive form of bone cancer. Mike Wise recently wrote about the Bugel family. She was 35.

Well damn. I hope Buges is comforted by the thought that Holly is no longer suffering and that he and his family stay strong throughout this ordeal. My thoughts are certainly with him and his family.

R.I.P Holly. Impossible to imagine how hard it is to lose an adult son or daughter. Death just sucks.

Poor Buges.. BUGES, you and your family are in everyone's thoughts and prayers. BE strong, your daughter would want that from you. Just remember she was welcomed in heaven by Sean. God Bless you JOe BUgel

My grandfather, and my aunt both had bone cancer and they say that is probably the most painful cancer there is. Seriously, the suffering is not worth staying on this earth for, she is better off in heaven not suffering to look over her father and her family.

Given her condition it probably wasn't a surprise. I figure with him leaving to be with her just recently perhaps they saw this coming down the line?

This team just seems to get one hit after another, yet they still persevere.

When I saw him on George Michael the other night, I knew it wouldn't be long.

I hope he doen't focus on not being there, he was just there a few days ago.
At least he made his trip soon enough.

This has got to hurt him beyond belief...I sure hope Joe can help him out a bit.

I have no doubt that Buges would trade in every Superbowl ring and every victory if he could have his daughter back. Very sad day for the Bugel family.

Times like this remind just what really matters in life- family and friends.

I hope that the next time it is fourth and 1 and they are in Heavy Jumbo that they run one for Holly.

This is very sad to hear, I hope that Buges and his family find the comfort that Holly is not suffering anymore and that she is in a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with Coach Bugel and his family.

I was reading this article and thought to myself that in the end, one of the purposes of the Redskins organization is to be entertrainers (and I mean that with no disrespect). However, it must be tough for this organization to carry on their business, while having so many unfortunate situations happen to the players and other members of the team. Granted that many of us have unfortunately suffered through a loss in the family or the illness of a loved one, but a lot of these players and coaches are in the public eye and I just think that this probably adds a degree of difficulty in dealing with these situations.

Well I truly hope that our beloved team finds good fortunes both on and off the field this upcoming season.

My condolences to the Buges family and friends. The lost of a loved one is a humbling affair and it hurts to the core. But to lose your son or daughter might be the worst hurt of all. You expect them to out live you and you are never prepared to say goodbye to your children. With all these deaths, it lets you know that we are all mortal and we shouldn't take our relationships with other people for granted. Let the people you love know it because you might not ever have that opportunity again. It's also a good time to reaffirm your faith.

God Bless the Bugel family , R.I.P. Holly Bugel . This team has had too much bad happen to it with S. Taylor and Holly passing . It would be nice to see CP score the game winning TD in NY ,,,, 4th and 1 from the NY 21 yd line . R.I.P. Sean and Holly .
