Keyshawn Johnson
might come out of retirement..
I personally wouldnt like to sign him, he'll prolly ask for good money and i dont think he'd be worth it, even tho he is a monster in the red zone.... still ... i think the danny may be interested in him, hopefully not.... so thoughts? |
Re: Keyshawn Johnson
Ugh hells no

Re: Keyshawn Johnson
Why do you think Danny is interested in him?
|
Re: Keyshawn Johnson
I surprisingly like him here at work (both on and off air). Didn't think I would but he's actually one of my favorites, so I kind of hope he stays retired.

That sums it up. Not everytime a player says they might come out or every free agent doesnt mean they should have a contract from the Redskins waiting for them in the mail. |

Re: Keyshawn Johnson
If he's going anywhere it will be the Dolphins to be back with Parcells.

Not really as many as you think. Or as often as you think. It's a big campus here and really the only times I see or talk to them is if I happen to run into them in the cafeteria (I usually bring my own lunch though). It's not like the commercials. I'm not hanging out with Scott Van Pelt, Mia Hamm, and Mr. Met on a daily basis. |

Re: Keyshawn Johnson
The food is pretty decent, it's the cost and the health benefits (or lack thereof)
But anyway, back to Keyshawn I think a lot of teams could benefit from him, but I don't know that he really wants to put in all the work required during the week. |

Well I'm glad you said that cause he comes off as a dick when you hear him miked up when he was playing. But he's actually real good on TV. I still miss Irvin though. BTW... I heard Suzy got the ax. Is that true? I hope not. I looooovve her beedie little eyes!!! |

He could still probably be an effective WR, but I just don't see the need for him in DC. |

Re: Keyshawn Johnson
Am I alone in thinking that Suzy Kolber is kind of sexy?

No, Joe Namath thinks so too.:party-smi YouTube - Joe Namath Drunk |
Re: Keyshawn Johnson
Back on topic there is no way I would take Keyshawn on our team. His best years are way behind him and personally I don't think he ever lived up to the hype.

Well at least he played well throughout his career. Look at guys like Tim Couch. To me it seems that the guys in the top 10 are usually the ones who are most NFL ready or the ones with the most potential, and Keyshawn seems to me like he was one of those more NFL ready guys. |

I agree he wasn't a bust. But he never was one of the best WR in the league if you ask me. Not even top 10 in his prime. |

Danny is interested in everyone at one point or another. That's what makes him good, and that's what makes him bad. |

I disagree with that. Sure he didn't have the flash or lure of some of the other guys, but he was certainly a top 10 in his prime. Look no further than 2001 when he had 106 catches for 1266 yards. Both were well into the top 10. (4th and 7th respectively) He is a 3 time pro bowler and all three of those years he was a top 10 wr. He has the 17th most receptions ever, and his 10571 yards ranks 24th all time. He did it in a quiet fashion (even though he had a fairly large mouth). The way he went about getting his stats kind of reminds me of a certain recent Hall of Fame inductee. |

I'd definitely agree with that. He was solid but not much else. Seemed like he was always good for around 70 catches for 900 yards and 5-6 TDs. |

Well, those wr's had a combined 4 td's. We almost doubled that with 7. LOL. Either way, I can easily see the comparison. |
Re: Keyshawn Johnson
Keyshawn Johnson is NOT what the Skins need at WR. MAYBE he has some gas left in the tank, but he's not what the Skins need.
|
Re: Keyshawn Johnson
i would be shocked if he comes back. already said he hates the practice, and the workouts. very good receiver, in his day, but not needed here. and Suzy Kolber is sexy as hell:)
