Inside the NFL (Cris Carter)
What a BUFFON that guy is, he wouldn't give credit to Gibbs for the teams turn around. The thing that irked me the most is that he said they've 2 more games and then they are going home, implying that we will beat the Cowboys and lose to the Seahawks. I hope we beat the Cowboys, Seahawks and whoever else after that just to shut him up!!! How many SB's did he play in? NONE!!
|
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
He's sadly mistaken if he thinks the Seahawks will beat us. Let's get pass Dallas first though.
But I can't help to say that I love our match-up against Seattle. |
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
He's always loathed us. No question about it. I take everything Chris Carter has to say about the Washington Redskins with a grain of salt.

Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
I tell you what, there are so many media heads eating crow right now it's redekulas.
|
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
He's one of the main reasons that 'Inside the NFL' stinks these days. God forbid he actually gave the Skins some credit.

redekulas, hey that's my word! None of the media ever gives the Skins credit except for Aikman. He loves Portis. |
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
While Cris Carter was a stellar WR, he's horrible when it comes to color commentary. It's almost like he's being controversial just to be controversial.
Seattle is very tough at home, as they are 28-8 since 2004 (including 7-1 this year). However, this year wins at home include Tampa (Wk 1), Cincy, Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, Arizona, and San Fran. They have only faced 2 playoff teams all year (W v. Tampa, L at Pittsburgh), so they really haven't faced any stiff competition for most of the season. However, there is much to be said about winning 5 of 6 (potentially 6 of 7) to end the year. While Seattle won't be a cakewalk, the Skins will give them a fight once they beat Dallas this weekend. |

You know, I think you are 100% right. The idiot just wants to act controversial just to keep things lively, that's how sad the crew is. At least Collingsworth and Mario where ribbing him telling him he was wrong. |

Sean Salisbury still can't give the Skins any credit, but at least Peter King has come around with our recent surge.

You know, the original plan was to continually add egregious spelling errors to my sig, but it would be about 12 inches long (insert joke here). BUFFON. priceless. or is it priselas? |

I think BUFFON is worthy of being added. It sounds like some kind of car care product that Cris Carter is selling on late night TV. |
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
Added it. Soon I'm going to start working on the abridged Warpathian Inglesh Dikshunery
|
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
Priselas is my maids middle name i think. :) jk.
Chris Carter's eyes have been fighting a struggle for years to hold up the rest of his face. They've been losing. That guy looks like he needs two cups of coffee every time i look at him. He's just upset because he knows that for most of his career, he was a number two receiver. And he is upset that circumstance didnt allow him to be a Redskin and get paid big number 1 money late in his career. |

They're a horrible match-up for us IMO because they're pass-happy team and if we can't get to Hasselbeck he's going to pick us apart...plus he knows how to throw the ball away. We'll have to show up in all phases of the game. Anywho, I'll be going to the game cheering for the Skins that's for sure. Hail! |

chris collinsworth is just as bad. I hate watching that guy call a game. He is a nit-wit.

Alexander (199-685-3) has been nursing injuries all year, so he's now splitting time with Maurice Morris (127-537-3). Their running game is still good for almost 100/game. On the flip side, they have 3 quality receivers (4 if Hackett can stay healthy), so why not lean on them with a veteran QB? |

He is washed up...even Hawks fans will tell you that. The guy is shit without the a stud o-line, plus he never likes to get hit. He would rather play dead before letting anyone hit him or never tries to get extra yards. |
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
Cris Carter is the same guy who is promoting himself to get into the HOF and downplayed Monk as has been discussed on another thread on the Warpath.
Does anyone have that cartoon picture that looks exactly like Carter? |

Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
espn has certainly given the skins some love lately. Wingo & Schlereth both said they're a team nobody wants to play in the nfc.

Awesome.. I thought of your sig when I saw the post.. MC Grammar lives! On topic, Carter is the same clown who called us the worst playoff team in recent memory in 2005 and ridiculed us even after winning against Tampa calling it a 'joke' that we won that game. Loser. |

I guess Carter would call the 2000 Baltmiore Ravens the worst Super Bowl champion because their offense was not too good but the defense was amazing. |

I would disagree with that. Listening to several ESPN radio shows yesterday nobody on ESPN has got us getting past the Seahawks and they have us listed NR 13 in there weekly power rankings with the Browns, Seahawks and Giants listed above us. Also on Sportscenter last night they are still saying the Vikings are the team to be afraid of!!!! I gues Sportscenter is not counting us in on the playoffs. |
Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
I thought it was funny the other day on SportsCenter they had a good call/bad call segment and the question was, will the Vikings make the playoffs? 70% of viewers said bad call, and Stink agreed. I just thought it was an odd question considering the Skins are in the drivers seat.

Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
Does anyone really know what Carter's problem is with the Skins? I know we've speculated some things, just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a legit reason why he seems to have an axe to grind with the Skins. He was the same way during the late season run in 2005. He simply refused to give the Skins any credit then too. I don't get it.

Re: Inside the NFL (Chris Carter)
Carter is an idiot. I don't know what he's got against the skins but it's pretty evident.
Besides his latest comments...when the ST murder happened...he jumped to conclusions...bashed him for leaving the rookie supposium...and wished that Sean would have heard his speech...insinuating that it may have saved his life. He only mentioned ST's problems not anything else. At the time i thought it was uncalled for. Looking back really uncalled for. Carter is not an expert. He's a former player that gets paid for his opinion. Carter probably doesn't know sh** about the skins. He probably couldn't name 10 players on our team. His opinion doesn't mean anything. |

I personally think, in a weird sort of way, it has to do with Art Monk and Gibbs 1.0. The Skins were an extremely successful organization and Carter never got to taste that championship feeling. I just think it's plain old envy, my friend. |

That is an NFL network show not ESPN but it is nice to hear that someone is giving the Skins love. |
