Pick Six? The last 25 #6 Draft choices

Here's the last 25 at #6 in the draft. UP, DOWN OR STAY? Draft Down get's my vote, more picks.

The six picks have looked pretty solid. But I would love to trade down, as you say, more picks.

Pacman isn't a bust, he is an idiot. The guy can play.

I second that
Re: Pac Man Jones Rumor.
Just how talented of a player is Pacman Jones?
With Adam (Pacman) Jones' problems off the field leaving open the possibility he might be released or traded by the Titans in the near future, I thought it would be a good time to see just how good Jones is on the field.
Jones is regarded by many as one of the best special teams players in the league. He led the NFL in punt return average and punt return touchdowns last year, and also ranked sixth in the league in kickoff return average.

The part of Jones' game that seems to get lost, with all of the attention paid to his return skills, is his pass coverage prowess. Here are his coverage metric from 2006:

Adam Jones
Att Comp Yds TD INT Pen P-Yds YPA
58--24---323--1--5---1---5---5.7

The YPA figure places Jones in the Champ Bailey category, and it wasn't a one-year anomaly for Jones. In the second half of the 2005 season, Jones' YPA was 4.9. For the past year and a half, Jones has been one of the most dominant cover cornerbacks in the NFL.

Usually, if a player with off-the-field issues is talented enough, some team will find a roster spot for him. Jones is one of the best players in the league, so he is certainly talented enough. If the Titans end up releasing Jones, or putting him on the trade market, the list of suitors should be long.

It's refreshing to finally have a new draft topic. I hate rehashing the same old thing day in and day out.

Yeah, we don't need another Lance Briggs thread (or Ramsey, Brunell, and Arrington for that matter).

That reminds me that the last time the Skins had the #6 pick they traded it for Sean Gilbert . . . and the Rams took Lawrence Phillips!! Makes that Briggs deal look better all of a sudden :)

AMEN! I'm so tired of hearing the name Lance Briggs, I wish his name would disolve. And if we have one more darn LB thread......?

Re: Pick Six? The last 25 #6 Draft choices

2006Vernon Davis, TE49ers - Too be seen what he is like, but so far so good.

2005Adam 'Pacman' Jones, CBTitans - This guy has talenet, but is a total idiot..

2004Kellen Winslow, Jr., TEBrowns - Could be good if he could stay healthy for a full season, but has not been what people thought he would so far..

2003Johnathan Sullivan, DTSaints - done pretty good, but not a huge household name.

2002Ryan Sims, DTChiefs - Bust

2001Richard Seymour, DTPatriots - He has been a good player..

2000Corey Simon, DTEagles - Always a solid player, plays on a bad team.. lol.

1999Torry Holt, WRRams - this guy is the real deal, great WR.

1998Grant Wistrom, DERams - Another good player..

1997Walter Jones, TSeahawks - Pro bowler.

1996Lawrence Phillips, RBRams - This guy was a waste of skin....

1995Kevin Carter, DERams - Seriously how many #6 picks have the Rams had.. holy crap... Good player..

1994Trent Dilfer, QBBuccaneers-One lucky year, and totally cause of the defence he won it all...

I am not toally conviced about the 6th pick... there are a fair amount of flakes at this pick.. lets trade down and get an extra pick and get two good players..

HAIL!!!!

I understand where you're going with this... This is why I put more value on the proven player over a draft pick... George Allen is smiling somewhere:)
