Xavier Adibi
anyone know where he is expected to go in the draft? he is a real playmaker on defense, and if he could be had in the latter rounds that would be awesome
|
Re: Xavier Adibi
I've never heard of him but I want him to become a Redskin just because of that awesome name.
|
Re: Xavier Adibi
Adibi, IMO will most likely be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. If we trade down and get some more picks, I wouldn't be opposed to drafting him.

Re: Xavier Adibi
What position does he play?

OLB |
Re: Xavier Adibi
Thanks!
I'm not sure this is our biggest area of need, though. D-line, secondary, ILB, and O-line. All this is assuming Rocky will develop (if he ever gets the friggin chance!!!). |
Re: Xavier Adibi
he can play ILB also i believe. he and vince hall played as ILBs this year at VT i believe. all i know is he makes plays and causes turnovers, and thats something we can use

I remember when Sean Taylor used to do that. Those were good times. |

yes. if we traded down and got him our linebacking corps could look like this --adibi------macintosh-----washington-- hopefully rocky could show something, but that has the potential to be a dangerous group |

You hear about how ol' Gregg Williams is such a hard ass but then you hear quotes like: "I would have left him in, but I didn't want his confidence to get hurt." |
Re: Xavier Adibi
Adibi and Hall are awesome LB'ers for Tech. They have a chance to become one of the all-time great defenses Foster has coached so I hope he stays one more year even though he's eligible to enter the draft. At 220 lbs, I'm thinking safety (free?) in the NFL though unless he puts on more bulk.

Re: Xavier Adibi
what about aaron rouse at strong safety? hes been dropping down the boards ive seen for some reason
|
Re: Xavier Adibi
Aaron Rouse imo might be a steal. This guy can lay the lumber along w/ Adibi and Hall (and others). I don't know anything about Rouse off the field.
|
Re: Xavier Adibi
i haven't heard much of aaron rouse but i would love to have xavier adibi on this team. If he declares for the draft i'd take him. Marshall isn't as good as he was last year and Adibi can play middle linebacker.

Re: Xavier Adibi
Adibi & Hall have said they're staying at VT!!
Rouse had a great jr. year & was expected to have a great sr. year, but didn't have the big plays of 05, plus there was the Boston College game in which he & Hall were shown arguing on the sideline. He may have an attitude problem, but he's been a ball hawk in college. If available in later rnds, he's a steal as RedskI said. |

Re: Xavier Adibi
X-Man is staying? I hadn't heard. That's great news! We'll take him with the last pick in the first round next year.

At least that's the last thing they both said. I'm a Hokie so I hope they stay, but after the bowl game on 12/30 they may change their minds (btw, the Chick Filet is on at the same time as Skins v. NYG, 12/30 at 8:00, serious dilemna!). If Rouse has the speed for the nfl he would make a mean tandem w/ST! Both play well in the box or in cover 2. |

He's big, roster lists him at 6'4, 227, but he seems like a db to me. He played free safety last year, that might be the reason that he got to the ball more. Maybe if he doesn't have nfl speed, the switch to LB would make sense. |
Re: Xavier Adibi
YEAHHH GO HOKIIIIIIIIIES. Yep Xavier is an awesome prospect for the draft probably one if not the best linebacker in college right now. Great athlete but sorry to bust anyones bubble but some reports say he is staying for his senior year.
