Amusing Terrell Owens story from the Philadelphia Inquirer:

"Terrell Owens is still not happy about the shorts. The Eagles wide receiver is on the cover of the Sporting News issue that hits the newsstands today, and in the article inside, he once again pleads his case for shedding the shorts and wearing only tights at practice. Owens showed up just in tights at his first official workout with the Eagles last month and was told by the equipment manager and assistant coaches that coach Andy Reid has a dress code that required shorts over the tights. Owens complied, but doesn't understand the rule. "My biggest adjustment isn't the new team or the plays, but wearing shorts over my tights," he told the Sporting News. "What does that have to do with how I practice?" The story said Owens spent the next several days walking by Reid and telling him that "these shorts suck." Reid reportedly laughed, but Owens truly doesn't like the shorts. "If I just have my tights on, I feel smooth, fluid, Spider-Man-like," Owens said. "I have given up a lot; for me to wear tights wouldn't be much. At least give me a little leash. I understand having structure, and I guess that is him making a statement. I don't have any problem with that, but it's a big adjustment"

I'm just waiting for Reid and Owens to have their first fight when TO starts whining about McNabb being inaccurate or the ball not coming his way enough. I'm so glad we didn't sign this huge idiot - even if he is a very good football player.

Junior Seau of the Dolphins was asked to comment. This what he had to say.

"No offense to TO and fags, but I think TO just want's to show off his sculptured body and possibly his man hood to the City of Philadelphia. Coming from San Fran, I think TO might have picked up some homosexual tendencies. We know the guy doesn't eat fried chicken and melons so do we really need to see him in tights?"

lol. Yea he has been in San Fran for all these years. And yes, I think we are all looking forward to TO and Reid fighting about McNabb.

I've got a sense of humor, but let's stay away from the epithets, even when they are in an understandable context.

Honestly, I understand it if the guy doesn't like to wear shorts. Not my personal preference, but if someone told me I had to wear a tutu while playing football, I would be put out of my rythm a bit. No idea why it matters if he wears tights or shorts to the staff.

LATEST UPDATE: ESPN is reporting that TO agrees to wear the shorts over his tights, but Reid has made an agreement with him. If he scores 15 TD's this year, he does not have to wear the shorts over his tights any more, AND (now the scary part) Reid will also wear tights with no shorts.

Sounds like Reid turned it into a positive for them. That's why the good coaches get paid the big bucks!! LOL

This could work to our advantage where McNabb doesn't throw to T.O just to save the team from having to see Reid in tights
