Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
hasn't been done before if i'm not mistaken. think we gonna see it this sunday night? discuss.
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
Id love to see that but I dont think its gonna happen.
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I doubt we wear the "away" jerseys. so probably burgundy(jerseys) and white(pants).
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I agree.
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
how bout some yellow pants action...in all honesty though, I would not be surprised to see some crazy socks by Portis and Taylor. The guys need something to get them fired up...that Vikings game looked pre-Joe Gibbs II era Skins ball...NO HEART
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I agree, they need to do something that will bring energy to the defense. Hot pink maybe?
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
Just don't bring back Spurrier's ideas.
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
cotton long sleeve uniforms with no names on the back...leather helmets, and converse high top sneakers since its artificial turf
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
burgundy on burgundy thats an idea....think its time to ditch the all whites. i dont care what they wear....just BEAT DALLAS
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
the 70's mustard colored pants
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
how about the throw back uniforms, arrow helmets and all?
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
It must be a requirement to discuss this at least once a week. We have a thread about the uni's before every game. As long as they dont come out naked, i couldn't care less. Come to think of it......Maybe that is not such a bad idea after all? How would you like to have to try to tackle a naked man?

haha... and with TO on their team, hes going to be calling them all gay by halftime... |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
Parcells would bring his own camera if ...
Yuck. Guys, I can't believe another thread has taken this direction again. Anyways, I'd love to see the burg/burg combo. I miss the burgundy pants. The white on white is getting boring since it's obviously no longer good luck. |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I thought we wore white jerseys on burgundy in Dallas? How about the throwback uniforms?
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
whatever we did last year against dallas

No, us , the Dolphins and Dallas are the only teams (I think) that wear whites at home and colors on the road. However since almost all NFL teams wear colors at home, we have to wear our home whites when on the road...EXCEPT for when we're in Dallas. Since they also wear whites at home, we can actually wear our away jerseys. That's why we really only wear burgandy against Dallas. I've seen burgandy against Tampa Bay too, but they only wear white at home when it's really hot. They play it by the thermometer. |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
remember last years game in dallas they wore their blue throwbacks and the skins wore the white jerseys first time I can ever remember the Skins wearing white jerseys in dallas, don't think they had switched to the white pants at that point yet only week 2, doubt it will happen again....

Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
:D Not after how the blue uniforms helped the Cowboys last year! :D
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
anyone know when is the last time the skins wore their throwbacks?
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
During the Spurrier experiment as far as I know.
ESPN.com - Page2 - Washington Redskins new uniforms
We know new Washington head coach Steve Spurrier, who played and coached at the University of Florida, was a little hesitant about the resemblance to his former arch-rivals at Florida State. "Their colors are more maroonish, whereas ours is burgundy. It's Washington Redskins colors," Spurrier said.
^The genius speaks. |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
Did anyone notice that the Skins changed to black cleats? I thought they looked like crap.
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I liked the black shoes, I thought it looked pretty tight with the all-whites
|
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
no we always wear Burgundies at Dallas, except last year, when the pretentious f$*ks wanted to wear a throwback for their special commemorative game. chumps.
it's already been confirmed we're wearing Burgundies this weekend, i'm just wondering since this will be the first year the 'U crew' of Portis, Taylor and Moss wear burgundies together vs. dallass if they'll try something a bit crazy. |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
Perhaps the black cleats witht he bugundy uni's would look better, but to me there isn't enough black in the color scheme to warrant black cleats.

Tell that to Johnny Unitas. :) |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
I thought the black shoes helped break up the all-whites a bit.

Well my Grandmother taught me that your shoes should match your belt, so unless they sport black belts they should stick to the white shoes. :cheeky-sm |
Re: Burgundy over Burgundy in Dallas?
The black cleats are the mark of death!! They shoud cahnge them or they may never win again!!:madani:
