it didn't actually fall out, it popped loose. if it fell out the optical cords or whatever would have to tear and he'd be sporting a glass eye the next night.

I've heard the same thing can happen if your eye has an allergic reaction and the pressure forces it to pop from the socket but that could have been bs.

who knows, there's probably air and liquid back there, so it might be possible. doesn't it happen in a vacuum (ie space)? isn't that why you're supposed to keep your eyes closed?
