Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
OK, where do we find flight info on the most beloved jet in D.C.
All I can say is fly boy fly. |
OK, where do we find flight info on the most beloved jet in D.C.
All I can say is fly boy fly.
Given the lack of an extension to the CBA, Redskin One has only one of two destinations: (1) a mothball factory, or (2) over Washington, D.C. to do a bombing run on the NFLPA's headquarters. |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
I would leave the country before the shit hits the fan
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
the only free agents we will be hearing about joining the fold will be some cheap veterans and no names. this offseason will be the polar opposite of recent seasons.
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
last year we didn't sign any big names (Moss trade not included) and had our best season in years.
Here's hoping the trend continues. |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
time to see just how much coaching 15$million buys.

Even if we do gut the roster can you see our defense finishing any worse than say... 15th? |
last year we didn't sign any big names (Moss trade not included) and had our best season in years.

Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
Well said. It would take a miracle to get our core guys back from last year. Here's to looking for a miracle:
:food-smil |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
I am pretty sure this go around we will say a lot of jet fuel!!! With NO CBA and the cap at 94.5!!! But 07 that will not be a problem!!!
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
I'm more worried about the names leaving as opposed to the names of those joining the fold.
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
we'll be lucky enough to resign our own free agents.
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
The coaching point is a good one. I think we have one of the best groups in the league, which is why I'm not afraid to fill out some of the non-core roster with undrated rookie FA's. What's wrong with infusing a solid group of veterans with a heavy dose of youth, speed and hungry enthusiasm. You know a couple of diamonds will shine from that rough. Our special teams may even benefit.
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
Reports said that with no CBA the team would have to use the draft not free agentcy!!! So like I said Danny will save jet fuel.
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
there will be a CBA, and redskins 1 will fly again. Kevin Mawae, Adam Archuleta, John Abraham, and Antonio Bryant just have to wait until thursday
|

So you would dump Casey Rabach, Ryan Clark, Philip Daniels/Renaldo Wynn, and David Patten? What ever happened to consistency and stability? |

no I'd move Rabach to the gaurd position. Ryan clark would come back for a Vet Min. Phil and Wynn aren't effected because we have a rotation on the D-line. Patten moved to the three and Bryant in at the two. sorry Dockery would be cut though |

JA would still cost too much and mawae is way too old... AA would cost too much for his production too. |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
CALL Redskins One put back in hanger!!!!!!!!
|

I don't think we need to overhaul the roster/starting lineup. One or two small changes should do the job. And cut Dockery for an ancient lineman? |

i think we are just a few players away as Ramseyfan said. Dockery had a very nice season and is only going to do better! :headbange |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
A great week ahead......damn CBA...now rain and snow all week!!!! Keeps getting better!
|
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
seriously, if you're cutting doc, why not replace him with an actual LG, instead of a C that hasn't played guard and getting an ancient guy to be your center?
|

No thanks.. A 36 yr old center coming off of season ending surgery, a safety who's a liability in coverage and has a chronic neck injury, a constantly injury prone malcontent and a troublemaker who led his team in all receiving categories but they want nothing to do with.. I'd like to see us fly to NE and bring back Givens and Vinatieri then to NO and scoop up Darren Howard.. |

Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff

Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
Former DEN TE Jeb Putzier looks like a good pickup.

Know anything about his blocking ability? |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
Know anything about his blocking ability?
i think that was his knock... he's more of a receiving guy. |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
Know anything about his blocking ability?
He's just as willing a blocker as Cooley and/or Royal. I'll look at the game we played them earlier in the season before the week is out. Solid journey...

Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
i,m hoping for a calm and cool offseason myself.
they need to put their own go,s aside and come to an agreement. in all reality i hope redskin one is ready to go....... |
Re: Redskin One - Get Ready for Takeoff
how much room are you thinking we are going to have?
a billion dollars. we can do what we want. after everyone on here was certain that we couldnt afford to cut Lavar, this weird scenario plays itself out. I wouldnt be surprised by anything. But it looks like there is going to be alot available free agent wise. I predict one free agent signing that involves atleast 3 million in cap space this year, with guaranteed money the next 5 years. Sounds about right. |
