*A blatant lie meant to drum up some excitement :) |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
steelers in a close one,24-17
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers in a not so close one.
I say 35-17. Steelers will physically overpower and intimidate the Seahawks! |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
The steelers score early and beat up the hawks just like they did to the colts.
steelers 27 hawks 17 but its not that close. |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
steelers21hawks0, first shutout in sb history
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers 31, Seahawks 17.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Seahawks are good but look who pittsburgh has beaten this year and look who Seatlle has beaten. Plus they gotta win for Bettis
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers, but Seattle jumps out to an early lead.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers 31
Seahawks 17 |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Gotta pray the 'Hawks pull one out, I really hate Steelers fans
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
We beat DaHags at our place.
Squeelers can certainly beat DaHags on a neutral field. |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers
Close Game |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers will win. But it will be a lot closer then most folks think.
Steelers 34 Seahawks 28 Seahawks will have a good shot at the upset. |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Seahawks win by 11. 28-17.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Funny thing is I used to like the Seahawks in the Largeant days. But I'm no fan of Holmgren and the arrogance I saw from their fans before the playoff game convinced me go root against them every time they play now. Had we just 10% more offensive power we'd have buried them, yet they believe they are the new Patriots or something.
Steelers for me in this one, and probably low scoring due to the Steelers D. 21-17 |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers 26
Seahawks 20 |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers 21, Seahawks 6
MVP: Troy Polamalu, INT for TD, FF, 10 tackles The Seahawks have not seen anything like the Steelers D this year...and with the 3rd ranked D, they will be able to stop the only true Seahawk threat in Shaun Alexander. Hasselbeck will fold like a house of cards when he's getting blitzed like a virgin on prom night. (Note: while the Skins D has been very solid, they have not played to the level as the Steelers have) Big Ben will have 2 TD passes, and of course, the Bus will have his grind from the 1 for a TD. The key for the 'Hawks will be Jerramy Stevens. The Steeler secondary will have no trouble covering deep, so it'll be up to Hasselbeck to find Stevens over the middle. |

It's like the whole city of Seattle sleeps on the team until they make it to the playoffs. I have nothing against the team except Brown and Hasselbeck, but I want the Seahawks to lose because their fans don't deserve it. |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Seahawks make this one of the most boring Superbowls we've seen in a while.
Seahawks win by two TDs+ |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
It couldn't be more boring unless a team like the Cardinals was the NFC representative.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Steelers......Seahawks will go back to being nobody's again next year.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Hasselback will succeed where McNabb failed. Seahawks win easy. This is the closest thing to a lead pipe lock you will ever see.
Seahawks 34 Steelers 13 MVP Josh Scobee |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
I equally dislike both teams therefore I vote a Tie.
Steelers 18 (A safety, 1 TD + PAT and 3 field goals). Seahawks 18 (2 TDs, 1 PAT, a 2PT, and a field goal). |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
The steelers seem like a better team... but that seattle O-line is REALLY REALLY good... I think they'll be able to neutralize most of the blitzing and the seattle D may be good enough to give their team a chance in a shootout.
Heart says steelers, but brain says seattle... their D isnt as good, but the offensive is just so much better. the steelers don't have an elite back and i just don't think their YPC average can be very high against a good run D. |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
Well I picked the Steelers strickly based on rooting interest. I really like Bill Cowher, Hiens Ward, Rothlesberger I LOVED in college, but I dont konw if I like him in the pro's and Bettis. I really HATE Joey Porter, but in the end, Cowher is just too good not to win a superbowl.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
I really hate getting on the Steelers bandwagon, but in all honesty I think they have too much for the Seahawks. I think if the Seahawks blitz then the Steelers will kill them in the short passing routes or deep, and then if the 'Hawks drop back a bit and try to cover the pass then the Steelers will impose their will. By the end of the game the Steelers will have definitely beat up the Seahawks D line. I believe that the current line is Steelers by 4 (tuesday night) so I'll take the Steelers with the points.
p.s. We beat both superbowl teams, and some of us got to see both superbowl teams here at home at Fedex. 9.26.5 Skins beat Steelers at Fedex 17-10 (Preseason but counts) 10.2.5 Skins beat Seahawks at Fedex 20-17 |
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
20-17 Steelers pull it out in a close one. Good match up, but could care less about both these damn teams.

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
The black and gold.
|
Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
I'm going with the Steelers as they were my official adopted playoff team once the Skins got knocked out, but I won't be suprised if Seattle wins. I really think Seattle isn't getting much credit.
I've got a good friend who's a Steelers fan, so I'll be pulling for them to win one for him. Steelers 21 Hawks 17 |

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
steelers21hawks0, first shutout in sb history
i think pittsburgh jumps out to an early lead like the rest of their games in this years playoffs. seattle doesnt have a chance to score until late in the game. by this time a feild goal wont matter and they end up not scoring at all.

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™
I'm also in Steelers camp. I'd love to see a good Notre Dame boy like Bettis get a well deserved ring. Plus I like a bunch of the other Steeler players and have always respected Cowher.
Here's the problem - everyone wants the Steelers to win and thinks they will. There's no way Vegas is gonna let the whole world clean them out. It was the same thing last year. Everyone loved the Pats. The outcome of the game was never really in doubt but in the end the Eagles walked away with the cover. I'm prediciting a similar outcome this year - Pittsburgh wins the game but they don't cover. The Steelers get their ring, everyone is happy, and Vegas rakes it in. Steelers 20 Seahawks 17 |
