Thank You Ray Brown!!!!

For stepping into the lineup at the age of 43 for Randy Thomas and filling the void! You played your heart out and I will always consider you a true Redskin! ;-)

Amen to that. Ray is actually older than I am (but not by that much) and I can't even begin to imagine putting myself through what he's had go through. And, I really liked the way he sucked it up and came back into the game instead of leaving Raymer out there to stink up the joint.

Did you see Ray try to get out on that screen block? God blesshim. A guy less than one year younger than me still doing this is amazing. I pulled a hamstring getting out of bed this morning. Hats off to you Ray. If you choose to hang it up...you did yourself and the Skins this year proud.

Ray Brown you were awesome this year! Thanks for all your help when Randy went down. Hope you have a happy retirement. Sad to see you go, because you were our most valuable backup.

Ray Brown is a stud. Hopefully, the coaching staff will find a place for him among their ranks. I know that last season they talked about him coaching.

It shows how well he did when you compare what he was able to do versus what Raymer did. What a disaster Raymer was. Totally unacceptable as a Guard. buh bye.

It really surprised me that he did so poorly. He looked totally lost. I'm also surprised that Molinaro hasn't seen any playing time. Is he able to play guard?

They showed Ray hanging his head on the bench in the ending moments it was sad he couldn't go out on top

That's what really bothers me. I wanted the Redskins to win the Super Bowl for those guys who aren't going to be playing anymore. I'd have given my left foot to see guys like Brown get a ring. He's been in the league for 20 years and for him not to get a ring is an absolute travesty.

Yes. Class act and a HoF o-lineman really. He'll never get in though because he played for too many teams and never got a ring. Raw deal. I love RB. I hope they can keep him around as a coach. Hell maybe they can convince him to be a backup again. He was fine this year. No reason to think he can't get it done again.

Re: Thank You Ray Brown!!!!

Raymer was a mess. You would think Molinaro could have stepped in and done a better job than that.

But sticking with the topic yeah big props to big Ray. I hope he stays on as a coach if he decides to hang it up for good.

Re: Thank You Ray Brown!!!!

Do you get a ring if on injured reserve cause he was a Skin for the 91 Super Bowl season but was on Injured reserve.

Re: Thank You Ray Brown!!!!

I've read that Ray Brown is definitely hanging it up after this season ends.

He's had one helluva career.

Either Molinaro can't play guard -- which doesn't say much for him -- or he was inactive today. I hope it was the latter.

One story about Brown I read suggested that he was "Still looking for his first Super Bowl ring" and he said "at my age, isn't that funny?".

I always thought everyone on the team got them when the team won, so maybe he meant the first one he played in?

WP article I just read said he's walking off the field the way he wanted to, but has plans to stay with the Redskins organization.

Congrats to Ray on a great carreer. Watching him "in the lockeroom" on Redskins.com was pretty sad; he defintley stepped up for us this year and i'll miss that old guy hahaha.

Thanks Ray.

Re: Thank You Ray Brown!!!!

he's really good with the media and i was shocked at how productive he could still be on the field at 43. he can't play tackle anymore but he's still a viable guard. Hopefully he sticks around in some way.

raymer was beyond terrible last year (so much so i couldn't believe he made it out of preseason) so his crap play wasn't a surprise, i'm just sorry we had to see it in a meaningful game.

Thank you Ray for takin' care of business, both on and off the field. You have been an inspiration to players and fans alike for many years, and I am sure you leave many positve impressions in your wake. Is there a "Coach Brown" in your future as a Redskin?????????
