KEYS TO PULLING OFF A WIN in DALLAS

After that terriable monday night lost I asked myself many questions approaching Dallas week.

How to shut down TO? with a struggling secondary?
Can our front four apply pressure to a hurtful bledsoe?
I like al saunders new O but wheres the deep threat?
VIKS offense isnt great but here comes dallas can our D step up?
Wheres lyod or cooley? Is TJ gonna see any action in GL situations?
CAn Hall be clutch if it comes down to a FG?

These are just a few question that have been on my mind about dallas...Know i was my fellow diehards.WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO DIFFERNET TO WALK AWAY WITH A W IN DALLAS?

From all the threads that I have read the only person on the team who played great (or didn't suck) was Moss. So we sit the other 21 players, send 7 to the pratice squad, bring them on board, all the second stringers start and let Gibbs call the plays.

Re: KEYS TO PULLING OFF A WIN in DALLAS

My keys : A healthy Portis, #1. Our offense seemed more fluid with him on the field. #2 Dallas is very aggressive, run some more misdirectional plays, especially at the beginning of the game. Try to hit them deep early, to move them away from the line of scrimmage. Run more middle screens, TE screens with Cooley. a Reverse. Dallas will be very pumped up and over pursuing in the beginning. Put Roy williams in position of coverage. HE stinks at coverage. If he lingers around the line of scrimmage all night, we will not be able to run the ball, and he will eat Brunnell for late night snack.

Defensively - Blitz, blitz, blitz. Our corners (minus springs) can not cover WR's for 4 seconds or more. (hardly any corner in the NFL can). If you pressure bledsoe early and often, hit him early and often it will produce some bad throws and maybe a pick or two, a fumble maybe. I dont think we pressured Johnson enough, which is why he converted so many 3rd downs. Keep Arch out of matchups with Witten. Carlos can not try and muscle TO at the line. No corner in the NFL can muscle him at the line. give him the 5 yards and work with him down the field. keep Taylor over the top, so when he does catch something have Taylor knock his helmet off. I would let Taylor try and send a message early to him or Glenn that they are not catching the ball around him. If it means a 15 yarder early, so be it. We need that toughness, that strut back. we did not have in the game agains Minnesota. WR were catching balls over the middle at will. We need to lay somebodies ass out so they will think twice about extending those arms. (like glenn did last year)

Special teams - Hope to god Hall doesn't need to make anything over 35 yards, and hope they let Frost kick off from the 40 so he can make it to the end zone. If our offense stalls, hopefully it will be around our 40, no further back, frost is good for a shank of 30 yards, may be two shanks.

Oh, and put a great big steak on the side line, maybe the Tuna will be distracted enough he wont worry about the game or stategies.

My keys: Score TDs when we get to the red zone and hammer TO at the line or within 5 yards every time the ball is snapped.

Also, it wouldn't hurt for more of our new free agents to show up and make some plays. Randle-El seemed to be the only one who showed up Monday night.

Things could get interesting if Parcells pulls Bledsoe early on and brings in Tony Romo.

the simple keys are, good offensive line play, and pressure on bledsoe. its a really simple game when you want it to be

I'm old school. You win a tough game like this in the trenches. Defense must be disciplined and put pressure on QB. O-line must protect our QB and give him time to use our offensive weapons. No more 'look out' blocks along the O-line.

Just my opinion.

This is going to be a tough game to defend the pass simply because of our CB weakness...perhaps we should explore putting ST on TO straight up in passing situations. It's definitely going to be a tough game but if we can score all should be well. I'm very frigging nervous about this game though.

What a game in just the 2nd week of the season. I know any time we play Dallas its a big game but we both are 0-1, coming off games we should have won, the looser will be 0-2 maybe 2 games behind first place and its on Sunday night primetime. Man I'm getting pumped up just typing this up.

Re: KEYS TO PULLING OFF A WIN in DALLAS

I predict a Redskins blowout. At least a two TD margin of victory. The Defense will show up and the Offense will be unstoppable. We had so many people do so many wrong things that if half of them play like they are supposed to we'll completely dominate the cowboys.

I thought I'd write an unsubstantiated opinion on Sundays game since it has the same effect as my careful analytical approach I applied to the Vikings game. Hail to the Redskins!

Re: KEYS TO PULLING OFF A WIN in DALLAS

The key is very simple. It is essentially the same on offense and defense:

3rd Down

On defense, this is especially true for 3rd and 5+. On offense, it is especially true on 3rd and 3-.

We need to get a mule to kick our field goals like in that old Don Knotts movie "Gus".

Re: KEYS TO PULLING OFF A WIN in DALLAS

i hate to admit this but i think we may be outmatched all the way around especially in the secondary so pressure on Bledsoe is the only way we win this game or unless TO and Glenn get hurt by Taylor
