Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Luckily there's a movie theater in the area that does $5 movies every day on any movie starting between 4-530 and $1 popcorn and drinks on Tuesdays.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Anybody see Project X? Is it any good? I'm torn on it, I've heard differing opinions on the subject, with some friends saying it's the most badass movie alive and other friends saying it's just another teenage flick about getting laid.
Also I'm pretty sure I posted this in this thread a few years ago, but my favorite martial arts movie of all time without a doubt has to be Jet Li's Fearless. It's not even the martial arts that makes me love it, it's the excellent story line. I watched it tonight with a couple friends for the first time in years (thanks Netflix streaming) and it just reaffirmed my love for it. |

It's about the guy who trained Bruce Lee with Donnie Yen as the lead. |
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
isn't ipp man from like, 2008?

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Project X is described as a teenage version of the "Hangover." As it does not look good to me either. Sorry.

Yep but as he had made mention of Jet Li's "Fearless" from 2006 and it isn't a super well known movie. I love kung fu movies and only found out about it's existence early last year. |
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
just watched once upon a time in the west... kinda slow, but they actually assume you're paying attention instead of repeating the main plot points 42 times.
I guess 1968 was a different time. |

Good man. Donnie Yen is in my top 5 favorite martial art actors: Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Old school Jackie Chan, and Jean Claude. |
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Is that the one where Denzel plays the police negotiator talking to the bank robbers, where they make a fake wall in the bank to stash the loot long enough for them to get away? Clive Owen is in that too I believe. Also since my post contains spoilers just highlight it to read the full text. |
