You guys do have some lovely looking stargazers on your side of the pond admittedly, but none stack up to Hayley McQueen of Sky Sports News IMO. :)

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Anyone notice that Denver seems to get away with offensive pass interference? They run more pick plays than anyone I've ever seen. Yet the refs never ever seem to call it.

Yea they should have called it when Talib got hurt. Not sure I would go the length of saying it was intentional, but Welker wasn't trying to get open. |
Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
I cant believe this play hasnt gotten more discussion.Jeremy Lane on the sideline looks like when he runs out of bounds that guy on sideline lowers his shoulder into him and takes him out.also when lane does get back on the field he is absolutely mauled by the 49er and theres a ref standing right there watching it with no call. When I was watching this live I couldnt believe it

Patriots run those same plays. I guess it's called Tom Brady. Patriots, Broncos excel at running pick plays, which are mostly legal | The MMQB with Peter King |

Well since we have guys complaining about SEA secondary players getting away with contact it should make for a very chippy Super Bowl. |
Anyone notice that Denver seems to get away with offensive pass interference? They run more pick plays than anyone I've ever seen. Yet the refs never ever seem to call it.
Those are worse than picks. Welker made no effort to avoid running into Talib, effectively running through him and injuring him in the process. I want to see the NFL crack down on that, because Welker clearly ceases to be a receiving option, and is only rubbing out a defender with that tactic.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
I'm all for letting them play. I can't stand refs that throw flags all the time, like Hochuli. But they need to address this. Talib was injured by this obvious pick and it could've been more serious. Once Denard came in New England had no chance. If it was Brady or Manning getting injured the league would come up with some stupid ass rule to protect them. They have to do a better job protecting all the players, not just the obvious ones.

I've known Rachel since I was 11 years old. She works hard but she's also been at the right place at the right time many times. And she's connected-largely through family-to very influential people. But she doesn't abuse the advantages she's had Melissa actually left Bristol long before I got there but I knew, well I met, her in the late 90s, early 00s. She's pretty much perfection. Beautiful, smart, funny. She and Tracy Wolfson are about as perfect as you can get I've never been a big Erin fan, she's a cool girl and all but up close I just don't think she's all that. There are far hotter people at ESPN |

Really surprised to hear belicheat complain about the welker play. Terribly poor loser and to say welker was deliberate in taking talib out is a flat out joke. Gotta lotta nerve

I have to agree with you about Erin. I still think she's a beautiful girl, but she's starting to look quite a bit older. |

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Browns are my secret affair. They've suffered like us for DECADES, except we have Super Bowl rings. Nothing pissed me off more after seeing how Ravens fans got after the damn Browns/Ravens won two Super Bowls.
Always want them to win. Just SUUUUUCH a futile franchise. |
