Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
So who exactly was he supposed to grab from this magical tree of NFL QBs?
The Redskins could have signed a free agent QB like Matt Hassleback. Given the fact that the Bengals drafted Andy Dalton before the Redskins drafted Jarvis Jenkins, the Redskins still had a chance to draft Ryan Mallet. |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
Our team is terrible, we can't deny that.. Fortunately there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it's a reason to keep watching.
Look at what we've seen from Helu. This guy has been absolutely dynamic. He currently has 423 all purpose yards in 9 games (7 games where he was actually used). He's a guy that we can ink into our #1 or #2 running back spot next season. Fred Davis has shown us this year, last year, and even two years ago that he can be a premier tight end. A quarterbacks best friend, a guy who studies tape of Shannon Sharpe, baring his inevitable suspension, we can look forward to some Fred Davis plays for a long time. Hankerson.. What we saw today was a guy who was going pound for pound with Brandon Marshall as our #1 receiver. I hate the small sample size, but since he's been getting opportunities he's ran with it. I still remember watching him go beastmode on Clemson last year when he was closing in on some big time Miami records. Count me in as a believer, and I'd love for you to explain why I shouldn't be. Trent, Brown, and Chester are definitely competent enough to be starters on our o-line. We need a big time center, but we'll have to keep trying till we get that player. Brown was a former top 3 tackle in the league, Chester started for the Ravens all of last season including their playoff games. If he works there, he'll certainly do the job here. We all know what we have in Trent, no need to explain. We're getting a quarterback! It's a no-brainer that we'll have our guy next June when it's draft time. We can judge the front office for going with Beck and Grossman, but it always came down to we didn't have a chance to get the guy last year. Not only will we be getting a quarterback, but Shanahan is the guy who managed to pull that Cutler, Dumervil, Scheffler, Marshall, Hixon, Kuper draft.... Our defense is good enough to win right now, we have a top 15 defense that's playing with a bottom 3 offense. I don't want any stupid movies Snyder, let Mike draft a quarterback before you pull another classic Skins coaching search. |

And Mallett would be on IR due to his lack of mobility, just look at Grossman how slow he is, Mallett is even slower. |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
Last two games:
Hankerson - 14 targets, 12 catches, 140 yards. 10.0 YPT. Those are (small sample) number one receiver numbers. That's Mike Wallace territory. |

Might want to edit that "not" out of your post, since they are just at risk for getting fined, not suspended. |

What exactly would have been the rationale for signing Hasselbeck? |

That was a VERY small part of my post, oh well. |

Hey, it's not ES where I can [and was] get temp banned for quoting an long post and responding to a little of it. I can do whatever I want. :D I agree with your other points though. |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
the weird thing is, the skins are primed for a complete beat down of the boys.
rex will continue where he left off today (oddly he played real well) the D will cont their solid pressure and no big play D but also return one for 6 the surprise play will be a sudden re-surrgence of the run game which will seal the skins win. there is zero reason to think the run game will all of the sudden wake up but it will. if not for "time" sake, it about time man we are gonna woop up on the boys next week, cant wait! |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team

Boys might be complacent from their blowout this week. We just, just might stun them long enough that we can squeeze out a win. And our run game is good with Helu in. I just hope that Shanahans figure out to NOT give Torain the feature back role next week. |

But................ I don't see it, Cowboys just KILLED the Bills. Murray will run all over us. |
