I thought there was supposed to be some sort of legislation in place to stop that? So much for that I guess. Local commercials seem to be the worst offenders. |

Might just have something loose. It happened to me when building a PC - a RAM chip wasn't seated quite right and it shut down the whole tamale. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Obviously simple but...check the switch on the PSU? :D
Does it power on at all? If not, just go through each harness from the PSU to the mobo and remove/reseat them...you'll find it. Reinstall the RAM also. It's probably something simple and stupid. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
All this smoke talk. How fun would it be to stuff something in that chimney.

Such drama. Just name a Pope and let us know when you do. All this smoke signal crap is just annoying.

The Catholic church is still in the dark ages. Seriously smoke signals? It is time to put some traditions to rest. |

I hope so. When I get home from work I plan checking all the removable fixtures and the wiring. If it still won't work then tomorrow I'm going to bring it into work and have my IT guy check it out. I'm not getting anything out of it, when I press the power button I don't get any lights, no fans turning on, nada. I really hope it's something simple, because I took extra precautions (kept a static discharge bracelet on the whole time I assembled it, kept grounding my other hand to the case jic) when I was assembling it. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I'm getting the "smoke" images via Twitter...........

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I don't have a problem with keeping traditions its the news coverage that goes on and on about the pope. If I want to hear about the pope I'll go to church.
