http://www.thewarpath.net/WarpathRedskinsCap.htm
The way I read the cap sheets we did not use the 18 million dollar deduction this year. Does that mean we have to be 36 million under next year. |

That wasnt an optional penalty for the first year. We could pay more than the 18 and thus incur less penalty next year. |

Thats the way I understood it also. But the redskins look to be at 1 million under 120. I thought 120 was every ones cap |

My sheets include an $18M penalty. However we had $13M of unused cap space from last year which helps to offset. |

Not much, I have us at $1M in room. I've seen slightly higher numbers elsewhere but all less than $5M. So let's say $1M-$5M. |

i can't wrap my head around the "as the league said in court documents filed last week, “no rules or agreements were broken” by the Redskins and Cowboys." part. |
Re: Redskins 2012 Salary Cap Status
what are the implications if jammal brown is cut now, as opposed to next year?

I keep reading that they can't afford to release until after this season. His cap hit would put us over for next year essentially, but if he is cut in the offseason it's fairly negligible? D Hall is also in the same situation, I believe he gives us 6-8 million in space for next season, once cut. |
