This guy has done more for our country than our Congress has.
The Post reports that U.S. Park Police told him to stop mowing the lawn.
Why am I not surprised at this bullshit. Really? Asking the guy to help stop maintaining our historical monuments? |

No guys. The President is refusing to talk to us, which is why he sent a invitation to all Republicans to the white house to talk. Oh, this invitation was declined by a huge majority. I guess that rules out that talking point from the GOP. |

Sen. John McCain to Fox host: Let’s have a little straight talk. The shutdown is the GOP’s fault | FreakOutNation
The interview closed with McCain rattling off a number of proposals that are “achievable” for Republicans. “Defunding Obamacare is not one of them,” he said emphatically. “Well, we’ll see,” MacCallum said, prompting sarcastic laughter from the senator. “I guarantee it,” McCain said. “Not only will you see, I guarantee it.”
Where are those GOPers on this thread talking about how the shut down was the President and the Democrats fault? The hilarious part at the end of McCain's interview was Martha MacCallum's sigh when he tells her "I guarantee it" after her comment "we'll see about that" in relation to defunding Obamacare. Why can't these morons get it through their thick skulls? [YT]0dQfV-0R4ZY#t=11[/YT] |

Re: So... The Government is Shut Down...
So I'm down in Nags Head fishing in a tournament and a large section of the beach was shut down because its considered a national park. All the beaches around the park did just fine without the governments leadership not sure why they think we need them to go to the beach in the first place. F*ck the Federal Government it can stay shut for all I care. I'm tired of them acting as they can control us 24/7. Maybe other people will realize they don't need the government to hold their hand for everything they do.

I saw this the other night and thought those poor as people in those states truely dont have a voice. The bottomline argument is that if you dont have health care and go to any medical facility for help, you will get the treatment you need, even if you cant afford it. Then those costs are just spread to everyone in the who does have coverage or the tax payers of that state. So what sense does it make to do nothing and continue down the same path? Folks, GDP right now accounts for something like 16.5% and is rising at the fastest rates ever in the last 15 years for all health care, most modern countries its around 10-12%. We need to do something and the GOP have offered no serious alternatives. |

FD, I was suppose to go camping in the national park this weekend obviously canceled cause of the shutdown. But you cant privatize national parks because the next thing you know it would go all to hell. |

Its a beach like all other beaches that are not federal parks. They even were blocking people from going up to the Wright Brother Memorial. I can see the museum but this is just a memorial on a hill. |

What if someone wants to commit a crime at the memorial? Vandalize the memorial? We need personnel to be watching such spots but those folks are all out of jobs. That's why parks and memorials stay closed. Don't you lock the doors of your house when you are not going to be at home? Same idea. |

On one thing he said he would not negotiate ,he also said he would listen to anything and that he would welcome an open dialog. |
