Do you not understand that is the appeal of him? People want a good vs. evil scenario. IF you loved everyone in any sport you would not care who won or lost.

I get it. Still think it's stupid. Especially when he's hated for all the wrong/imagined reasons

I honestly don't hate him. I much prefer him to win vs. Kobe.

I just think he should have stayed in Cleveland and try to make it happen there but that is the old school guy in me.

Cleveland is a cursed sports town. He probably realized that.

Which is why he should've stayed there. Imagine how more amazing it would've been had he stayed and won a championship there. People would single=handedly be praising his name up and down the streets of Cleveland. They haven't had a hero like that since Jim Brown probably.

Personally, most of my dislike for him comes from The Decision as well as his Cavaliars eliminating the Wiz from the playoffs for like 3 straight seasons.

It still boils down to Westbrook not running the offense and getting people into the flow of it. He doesn't need to score that many points to be dangerous. Look at Steve Nash's 2 MVP seasons and look at the PPG. Not even at 20 per night. If it wasn't for Westbrook's anomaly of 11 assist in the earlier game of this series, his assist numbers would be horrible. He shot well last night, but still only dished out 5 assist with 3 turnovers.

[/quote]

The Thunder are not even in striking distance if Westbrook doesn't go off last night like he did. They need for him to play like that in order for this team (as it is currently constructed) to even hang with Miami at this point. I'm sorry, but Harden is the goat of this series... dude has played tentatively. LeBron's defense has been wearing down Durant. Who's the other option to score? Perkins? Ibaka? If Maynor wasn't injured, he'd definitely be able to spell him a bit. But as it stands, Westbrook and Durant have to be the offense.

You mentioned Steve Nash- guess what? He has no rings, either. If you tried to change Westbrook into a pass first point guard like Nash, you'd be under-utilizing his talents and making the team weaker overall.

Oh and Brooks' rotations were a bit boggling last night. Perkins is right.

This. I see it so much more in Los Angeles, which is weird. First, what does LeBron have to do with LA? His team(s) have never been rival(s) with the Lakers.

Secondly, I always hear LeBron haters say "Decision, Decision, Decision." OK, if you're going to hate on LeBron for a poorly executed exit strategy from Cleveland, how is that worse than a player who throws his teammates under the media bus consistently (Kobe), has been reportedly not well liked by teammates (Kobe) and snitched on one of his teammates to the cops for absolutely no reason (Kobe)?

And then, Kobe fans will say, "I don't care about his off the court issues... he's a great ball player!" Well, why the double standard for LeBron? It's either you respect his game or his off the court perception... and he's greater than the beloved Kobe in both, imo.

Not even the end of the 3rd quarter and this game is unbearable. Congrats to Miami.

LeBron's got three assists less than OKC as a team, right now. MVP is the truth.
