Let’s hope this is true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote] Adam Shefter is a regular John Denver, full of shit. |
Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Is the player to be named actually named to a small circle or is it still being negotiated? I've always wondered that. You see this in baseball a lot.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Funny to note that Smith is a McLoughan guy. Hmmm[emoji848]
Influence still in the building? |
Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
I’m trying to consider our alternatives, which were shitty. Cousins didnt want to be a Redskin, so keeping him would have required a tag. Not an acceptable solution.
Colt and a rookie? Not an acceptable solution. Bridgewater coming off a knee? Bradford? Fragile his whole career. I hate giving up Fuller, that’s a valuable piece. But if you asked me if I’d rather give Fuller and a 3rd for Smith, or go for one of these other bad options, I think I’d take Alex Smith. Here’s why: Smith INTs the last three years, 5, 8, 7. Cousins, 13, 12, 11. Smith’s fumbles 2, 7, 4. Cousins, 13, 9, 9. |
Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Let’s hope “sources” jumped the gun on Fuller.

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Grant Paulsen tweeted that he’s been told it’s not Fuller.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Inside the 10 half of Smith's passes were TDs. KC was 1 in 3. Smith had 5 ints none in the red zone. KC had 3 in the red zone alone. Gruden can win with Smith.

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
By the way, an unappreciated piece of this news, it frees us to apply the tag to someone else. Increases the chances we can retain Zach Brown.

Maybe a trade for someone like McCarron I could have lived with too. I’m not a Bridgewater fan at all, Bradford’s injuries rule him out for me too. McCoy? Absolutely not. Honestly I wasn’t even thinking seriously about Smith. |

Agree. The difference is mobility. Kelce and Reed, equal red zone targets. Even if you excuse Cousins for games when Reed didn’t play, the red zone numbers are still better. |

I can’t take credit saw it on Twitter. It’s interesting though. |

I will be interested to see if going to a new team and presumably a long term deal helps him by reducing outside pressures |

Yes this was definitely a personality thing. He struggled in Week 1 and Week 2 games too, it’s like he needed to get his feet wet to feel fully comfortable. |
Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
It looks like it is Fuller after all. He tweeted that he hasn’t been told so he’s trying to find out what’s going on.
But Schefter and Rap Sheet continue to report it. |
