jagr's smart enough to know not to skate in open ice with your head down watching the puck.
Yeah, have to root against him for a day. But, it will be great to see him beat Crosby when they face each other.
I want Canada to lose no matter who they're playing...their fans/residents are way too pompous and acting like they're entitled to the Gold just for showing up. Even after we beat them soundly, they're all saying "that game didn't matter, we're winning the Gold anyways". Canada is my new Ohio State/Boston Red Sox/Dallas Cowboys/New England Patriots/Kobe Bryant fan.
haha yeah so many times I've heard "we dominated the whole game with shots blah blah they just got hot in the net" regardless, only beat SUI in shootouts and lost to us despite twice the shots |
Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching

And Ovie just got hurt. Tried to catch a puck with the palm of his hand. |

Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching
It's really been about the netminders. Miller has been awesome for the USA. Kiprusoff was awesome tonight against the Czechs. Brodeur slacked and we beat Canada. Nabokov was really porous tonight and Russia fell. Hiller stopped 42 for the Swiss today. Luongo was very good today against that absurd Russian offense (Ovi, Semin, Datsyuk, Malkin, Kovalchuck, oh my!!). And don't forget Lundqvist for the Swedes.
It's gonna be tough to take down Kiprusoff. |
Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching
Yeah I missed the Canada-Russia matchup, hadn't even heard that Ovie got hurt. Any x-ray reports or anything?

He came back in and played after the injury. The camera showed him flexing his hand and he looked fine. He even shook hands after the game with that same hand. So I'm assuming it's just a knick and nothing to worry about. |
Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching
Ahh, well that's good. Agreed that it's been about the goalies, it's wild seeing some of the shots on goal vs ending goal results, teams getting half of the shots of winning, etc
|
Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching
Way to choke, Russia.
Onto Finland for the USA, then likely Canada again. |
Re: Winter Olympics Who's Watching
Wow, I can't believe Sweden lost to Slovakia!
