Cooley on Sirius NFL right now.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I agree with this. Favre and Warner were two of the best in the game last year and they were much older than McNabb.
You know who else thinks he has at least 4 years left? The Mastermind.
What about Elway when Shanny got there? I think Elway was 35-ish...2 superbowl victories...McNabb is not Elway (top 5 QB of all time), but Shanny was able to motivate and was able to get it done before with an older QB, there is some stock to take in that. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
The Eagles weren't going to give up McNabb for a 5th rounder. The price was at least a 2nd and there were other teams more than ready to give that up.
Just one of a hundred reasons why it's insane that we ended up pulling the trigger. Had to outbid luminary organizations like Buffalo and Oakland.
Where were the winning organizations on this unbelievable opportunity? Do winning organizations not require a veteran quarterback? |

Elway also posted consecutive 20+ TD seasons when Mike joined the organization and his TD-to-INT ratio become closer to 2 to 1. Elway had never did that before then. |

"Where would u most like to go out of these 4 choices?" then they try to make something happen....... |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I would hesitate to call anyone who thinks McNabb has four years left a mastermind. Delusional comes to mind. Though you were quite unclear in who you were referring to.
The guy that you said was inferior than Reid is the Mastermind. Shanahan has tied his stay in Washington to McNabb and I am happy with his choice. At least McNabb will hold other players accountable and won't let an organization beat him up like a pinata at will. JC just never had it in him to stand up and be the face of the franchise. Now another team can watch him lock onto the first option and hold the ball too long. |

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Winning organizations already have a quarterback.
Quoted for truth, however, this is my point. No winning organization looked at their QB situation and decided trading a 2nd round pick+ for McNabb and thought "this is an opportunity we need to chase". It was met, among winning orgainzations, with a sense of "meh, we've got a guy."
